There are other jobs out there and training for what you do. You CAN’T SHOVE A COMPUTER! and cause emotional damage! Good wishes to you. I worked at a police department with an abusive boss . I was the The Only Ones Band Shirt and by the same token and only one who had th courage to say anything. My Chief was a pill popping alcoholic for all of the 9 years I stayed. The pay was excellent and I ignored the fuckery because I was living the life. He actually told my Seargent who was being treated for cancer that he had to return or be fired. This still wasn’t enough to make me speak up,but it pissed me off, and I started keeping a journal of the nonsense we were experiencing from him. He would outright bully the fire control guy and make him cry several times, and he was getting depressed from it. Still, I stayed. He called the secretary who serviced the office and told her she had to come to work the day after she woke up next to her partner, who had a fatal heart attack. The thing that made me snap is when he came into the station at about 2 in the morning, stumbling and reeking of booze. I asked him if he was okay and he started to berate me. I walked back to my dispatch center with my Seargent so he could witness the behavior. My chief came to the dispatch center and requested I give him keys, I handed over a set of keys that weighed about 1 pound, and he whipped them at my head. My seargent tried to block the throw ,but I was able to catch them before they hit my head. I called the hr office the next and advised them there was camera footage and if they didn’t handle it I would be going to the news and fb with what I knew. He was fired, and I resigned. All my former co-workers thanked me and continued to happily work there.

I experienced a somewhat similar situation several years ago. I was fresh out of undergrad and I was able to obtain training for becoming an ABA tech. In the The Only Ones Band Shirt and by the same token and beginning when I went in for an interview, there were supposed to be 3 people interviewing me. The resident ABA specialist, and two other managers. I don’t quite remember the roles of the other two but on the day of the interview, only one person was there to interview me. No judgement or anything towards this individual but he seemed out of place. He was not prepared to interview me at all. He would frequently stop to think of some questions and he just cut the interview short because he said that he didn’t know what else to do and said that he dislikes people. Fast forward a few days when I first arrived back for training. I briefly met my boss the resident ABA specialist and was told to just watch other techs for like a week. Confused but somewhat optimistic I did so. Throughout this week HR helped set me up to be on the system but didn’t show me how to navigate it. After this week, my boss said she was going to train me. While training, I made a mistake and she angrily said “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?”. I could hear her “sigh” of anger and on the edge of my vision, I saw her facepalm and shake her head. I was absolutely shocked. I didn’t know what to say. Again she rose her voice and said “keep going, don’t stop”. There were others in the same room but they all quickly left and it was just me, my boss and another child (client undergoing ABA and who my boss was using to train me on). Angrily she said “just stop and watch”. After observing the session, the client left because their session was over and others were coming. I was waiting for direction and she turned to me and condescendingly she chuckled a bit and said “what are you doing? You’re on schedule, go get your client” I had absolutely no clue that I was on schedule. No one told me anything and now I’m unsure of what to do and now she wants me to do it for real. I expressed that I didn’t want to hinder the client’s progress but she said, go get the client and get it over with. The rest of the day was miserable. I could see her watching over me and it seemed like she was talking to her other colleagues about me. Keep in mind, that “training” was all I got and was told to complete the online training. I left the next day and never felt so free
