All that above… it helped me from an academic standpoint when I got to public school in 9th grade (thanks mom, for dropping me off in public school right in the Snoopy I’m a Volunteers fan I can’t be held responsible for what my face shirt in addition I really love this middle of puberty and the power struggle freshmen face). I had so many tools to draw from to understand contextually everything in my English classes. (It’s also the reason I didn’t pick up the standard Jersey accent.) I’ll leave it there, because I have a LOT more extreme ideas that may or may not be received kindly on this subreddit (like the idea of eliminating summer vacation and spreading those days off throughout the year [like maybe a month in December for Christmas and a month in the summer to enjoy the warm weather and a month in October for Hallowen? idk], because I hate the idea of students not learning for three months and, not only having information leak out over that time due to lack of/no repetition of concepts to enforce long-term memory, but spending so much time at the beginning of the school year in review mode).

EDIT: Want a more extreme idea? Ban all electronics. Students have to take notes by hand. After all, there are many studies that show that something written by hand has a greater chance to stick than something typed. High schoolers might hate it since they’re so used to tech, but if we start them at a young age (like kindergarten), they won’t be so obstinate later in life. Or, how about, students who fail actually fail. Let them be held back a grade. There’s no lesson to be learned by giving rewards to those that did not earn it. I think focus on the Snoopy I’m a Volunteers fan I can’t be held responsible for what my face shirt in addition I really love this technology, honestly. Build literary skills around the technology skills these babies come in with already. I had a parent freak out recently bc her kid wasn’t doing enough writing with paper and pencil. I stopped and thought…how often am I doing that honestly? Other than my signature and my personal journal…when do I write anything by hand? Never. It’s all on my phone. Even recently if I need to work out a math problem (such as converting a recipe or something) I pull up my phone and do it with my finger in a drawing app (and then ofc use the calculator). These are the things kids need to know how to do to be successful in the world. Even reading, I read because I enjoy information and stories, sure. I also listen to a TON of audiobooks, and when I have a migraine I listen to EVERYTHING to access my phone. I only need to read the “voiceover” button and click it or highlight and select “speak”.
Enforce discipline with afterschool detention where disruptive students are forced to study. Call it “additional learning time [“ALT”]) and allow teachers to use this tool freely when managing classrooms. Frame it to be able to get around IEP/504 manifestation issues by saying it isn’t a punishment, but rather additional mandatory educational programming to ensure academic equity. School is expected to solve everything. We provide free food, we provide a safe place before, during, and after the Snoopy I’m a Volunteers fan I can’t be held responsible for what my face shirt in addition I really love this school day. We provide reading materials for home. We work our asses off trying to communicate with parents who are unreachable (until they want to see their child sing in the winter concert, or their child complains about bullying and claims we did nothing to help them). We need to stop expecting new curriculums and teaching practices to solve all of these problems.
Where to buy this Snoopy I’m a Volunteers fan I can’t be held responsible for what my face shirt
So what actually are the Snoopy I’m a Volunteers fan I can’t be held responsible for what my face shirt in addition I really love this underlying issues? Parents are working 2 or 3 jobs, and don’t have time to spend with their children. Or they’re struggling with addiction or mental health issues. They don’t trust the school system because they had a terrible experience when they were in school. They don’t know how to/aren’t able to set their children up for success – reading together, limiting screen time, feeding them healthy food and making sure they get good sleep, emotionally validating their child and teaching them to regulate emotions and make good choices, making sure their child feels safe, loved, and respected. They don’t know how to do this for themselves, and they don’t have access to the help they need -their own parents didn’t either – and the cycle continues. Kids come to school with their brains literally wired differently due to trauma they’ve endured and being glued to screens from a young age. School will not solve that. Human decency will.
It takes a village to raise a child. I think we need to band together on a national level all the Snoopy I’m a Volunteers fan I can’t be held responsible for what my face shirt in addition I really love this way down to small local communities. We need to focus on mental health, as well as safe and healthy ways to live and raise our children. We need health care for all, including mental health care. We need access to addiction treatment for all. We need quality child care. We need easy access to healthy foods, and the time and skills to cook them. We need parenting classes. We need transportation in order to access everything needed. We need easy access to all of these things, regardless of income, expenses, and addiction or mental health struggles. I don’t know how to make this happen. But I think this is what it takes to raise healthy and happy people who are ready to learn and be successful in life.
I’ve got this friend, She’s a good one. But lately, we’ve been spending more time together, and I’m really getting to know her. She’s brown, just like all of us “desi”. Now, you’ll understand why I’m mentioning her skin colour like this. It’s relevant, trust me. So, this cute girl and I, we hit it off instantly, and we’ve been hanging out heaps. But here’s the Snoopy I’m a Volunteers fan I can’t be held responsible for what my face shirt in addition I really love this thing: her voice is like, super high-pitched, and lately, it’s been getting on my nerves a bit. But I’ve been trying to let it slide, you know? Didn’t want to judge her just on her voice. Now, she’s got this boyfriend. He’s fair, like, extremely fair, and from a posh family. He’s even moved to this smaller city to be with her. But here’s the kicker: my friend’s always lying about what he gives her, making out like he doesn’t do anything for her when it’s the complete opposite.
So, yesterday, we’re at this Snoopy I’m a Volunteers fan I can’t be held responsible for what my face shirt in addition I really love this nail spa, and she’s going on and on about how her hands and feet are so tan. But honestly, I couldn’t see it. Her hands and feet looked fine to me. And that’s when I start noticing how materialistic she is, and all these weird stereotypes she’s got about certain communities that she actually believes in. Plus, she’s got a real lack of respect for older people, especially her boyfriend’s family. But what really got to me was when she said she wants to be as white as possible before marrying her boyfriend, because she’s gotten super tan and absolutely hates it. She thinks her original skin tone is European fair. I lost it, seriously when I heard it from her mouth. She’s not even light, probably just a shade lighter than dusky. What is wrong with her obsessing over fair skin and hating women in public? I’m seriously thinking of ending our friendship, but then she goes and texts me saying thanks for meeting up, and how she’s found her new best friend, how she loves me and how cool I am, and how we’re gonna be mates forever. And actually, I’m screaming inside. What should I do?you can either accept her as she is, or tone down your friendship
but please don’t waste your time and energy trying to explain her what’s wrong and what’s right, it rarely works I can bet that explaining her right and wrong wouldn’t change a thing. These things mostly depend on the Snoopy I’m a Volunteers fan I can’t be held responsible for what my face shirt in addition I really love this surroundings we have grown up in. Explaining her anything will be a waste of your energy and you might end up on a bad note with her. This. People at this age are pretty much set in their ways , you don’t owe her anything , so don’t attempt to point out her antics. It would only exacerbate the situation as your friend would think that you’re pointing out her flaws and somewhere you think you’re better than her. And people hate that. Dial back your friendship , don’t be the first one to text or make plans. Make excuses like family priorities, meet up with other friends, in need of personal time etc. I’ve made this mistake countless times , and I’ve only wasted my breath and soured my friendships. Bruh I know another brown girl who is also very materialistic I am happy that things between Us didn’t go far atleast from my point. But she was at least honest about being Materialistic and yes her obsession over her own face, ewww that thing disgust me till now. She even after being from A Middle class family wants an extremely rich background guy at all costs. Such girls are total red flags and should be avoided at all cost. I won’t lie that I was initially attracted towards her but I think that was just my hormonal boost towards her even at the start my mind was saying to stay away from her as I noticed several problems in her behaviour, craving for validation and appearing cool by this toxic attitude towards things can never impress any sane person.
Bruh exactly my friends who have fucking fair skin act like they are so dark and whine about it all day , I’m so sick if that behavior OP feels like they are projecting a lot… it could be your insecurity or your friends general opinions on skincare but in no way portrays her as a racist from your description. The ‘not respecting elders’ part though is a whole different ballgame. If that’s a negative character trait for you feel free to walk away from this friendship. As for your mental peace OP either limit your interaction with this friend or adopt the Snoopy I’m a Volunteers fan I can’t be held responsible for what my face shirt in addition I really love this one ear in other ear out policy similar to the way you looked past their “whiny high-pitched” voice (shouldn’t be hard since you sound as much of a whiner yourself) i don’t understand, you call this girl “cute,” not sure how that’s relevant to anything? do you like this girl or something and are you connecting these seemingly isolated dots because you don’t have a chance with her as she’s dating someone else right now?
“Her hands and feet are tan” – how is that materialistic? racist as well, that one thing doesn’t make her a racist cool down with all the Snoopy I’m a Volunteers fan I can’t be held responsible for what my face shirt in addition I really love this judging or if you do think she’s racist break it off? why you even thinking about being friends with a racist in the first place? what’s there to think about Hi OP! From what I could understand, she may have body dysmorphia or some sort of trauma she had for being brown skinned. It’s just like someone who was fat and lost weight would be very critical of even few pounds they gain. Regarding the racist part, I don’t actually know if she had been directly affected by them or it’s just plain hate towards a sect of people. Most of us are flawed. It depends on if you can accept the flaws or just move on. Even if you want to move on, just be polite and limit your interactions. There’s nothing as bad as being ghosted all of a sudden.
How old are you? You seem like in early 20s. Please understand that most of the Snoopy I’m a Volunteers fan I can’t be held responsible for what my face shirt in addition I really love this people are absolutely not interested in facts and reality. So do not try to make her aware of any truths or anything. Why would you end friendship because another person is delusional? Be cordial, maybe meet less often. But don’t confront. Bro, the things you mentioned you don’t like are enough red flags for me to end a friendship without a second thought. Almost in the same situation. Know these girls from my workplace who literally refer to people by their physical characteristics. I Once overheard one of them saying ” oh my fat cousin is the one who’s getting married”. There are regular instances where one of these girls keeps saying ” who’s going to like him/her, woh toh Kaala/ kaali hai “. The worst part is they continue with this behaviour even after some of us pointing out that it’s a racist/body shaming outlook. Really confused about how to deal with this. But then I also realised, one can’t change somebody’s outlook if the other person is shut off to inputs/ growth or improvement.
Accept your friend for what she’s worth. Don’t have a complex because she’s got a fair posh handsome bf and you don’t. Just take away the Snoopy I’m a Volunteers fan I can’t be held responsible for what my face shirt in addition I really love this attention you’re giving to her. I know for a fact that if you point out the things you don’t agree with, she will assume that you are trying to do an argument. So it’s better to stay silent whenever she start saying such things. And that’s how you can build a boundary without hurting her. Hope this helps Run from away from her .. it well never develop into something deep connection . She is shallow and always chasing some shallower experience. Eventually she will judge you and it’s never going to be respectful friendship when she is not self aware . Am glad you are able to recognize that . Peter out I agree with all the points but blindly agreeing to what old people say is foolishness. I’m not saying you should disrespect old people or anyone of any age for that matter, but when they make foolish mistakes you have the right to reply back. I do respect everyone from all age groups as long as they don’t act stupid.
And replying to the Snoopy I’m a Volunteers fan I can’t be held responsible for what my face shirt in addition I really love this points you make about her, she’s a big red flag for anyone who would want to live with her. Colourism has infested her mind. Explain her about where she is making her mistakes not in an aggressive manner, but politely and defo not over the phone. Sometimes the Gandhi way works well in changing someone’s thoughts. Its your choice if you want to keep her as a friend. So don’t be surprised if she is like that cause majority of the Indian population still thinks like her. And they come in support of BLM in the USA while they treat dark skinned people like shit in India. What double standards lol.
Almost 70% of the Snoopy I’m a Volunteers fan I can’t be held responsible for what my face shirt in addition I really love this nation’s 13,000 trainee doctors have submitted resignations even as authorities warned of police investigation and arrest for the walkout Revoke their licences and increase the number of med school admissions even more, there are tens of thousands of kids dying to become doctors. You don’t need a level of screening similar to NASA’s astronaut program to choose new med school students, open the gates. But you still have to accept – just like every Korean parent does – that not every hopeful doctor has the capacity to become a doctor, let alone be a good one. I’m going to take the bold stance that most people who want to become doctors for the money and prestige instead of helping people also don’t make very good doctors. Many OECD nations are poor/low cost of living, and their surgical subspecialties don’t cover the same depth as SEA/USA. Hell, most of the wealthy European countries don’t even bother covering orthodontics, which the USA covers for free if they are low income. I bet they are lacking in many procedures that we can find in the US. Source: Myself, a practicing doctor, with a Medicaid clinic that covers 100% of the patients treatment as long as we pre-authorize with Medicaid.
What are you smoking? OECD countries are some of the Snoopy I’m a Volunteers fan I can’t be held responsible for what my face shirt in addition I really love this most developed countries like the US, Australia, Japan, UK, etc. Covering orthodontic if you’re low income is a hell of a qualifier. Korea also has a low cost of living. You may be a doctor but don’t seem to know much about Korea. What is your interest in this topic anyway? My interest is being knowledgable in the general healthcare profession. My extended family is Taiwanese largely in healthcare (mostly surgeons and dentists). Knowing about SEA healthcare is interesting to me on how it compares to UK (NHS, which sucked until they started using US tech Palantir), and the general Eurozone. It might be important to know the details and differences, pros/cons when implementing healthcare changes in the US.
Also, why do you think covering orthodontic work if you’re low income is bad? No other country even cover’s orthodontic work. Western Eurozone definitely doesn’t. I’m pretty sure Australia doesn’t either. I used orthodontic work as an example because its deemed a “cosmetic” procedure instead of a “necessary” procedure, which the Snoopy I’m a Volunteers fan I can’t be held responsible for what my face shirt in addition I really love this USA covers both more extensively than any other country by far. Well, in Germany all Orthodontic services are included until the age of 18. Most kids have braces in their teenage age because it’s covered by the state insurance. Private insurances, which work different then US based as parts of your salary go into the system directly, cover some services after the age of 18. families with low income can ask for additional support as well … I would say the German health insurance system goes much much further then the US one…. Which I do not necessarily support The severity of the findings is rated according to the orthodontic indication groups (KIG): f. ex. the public health insurance covers the treatment of two front teeth which deviate more than 3 mm towards each other or if the horizontal overbite of incisor teeth is larger than 6 mm. The treatment of smaller misalignments is considered a personal matter and has to be financed by the patient. The assessment is done by the orthodontist.
When I was in school ~8 years ago, the Snoopy I’m a Volunteers fan I can’t be held responsible for what my face shirt in addition I really love this german med exchange students said that you had to pay out of pocket for braces, or things like Breast Augmentation/reduction post mastectomy. Some insurances in the state will cover plastics. I don’t think covering orthodontic work is bad, I think it should be considered necessary and not cosmetic for everyone. What I meant was that using low-income excludes a lot of people. I’m surprised the USA covers more than other countries because we often joke that teeth are “luxury bones” and dentistry is a separate healthcare option not included in without other healthcare plans. I don’t think covering orthodontic work is bad, I think it should be considered necessary and not cosmetic for everyone Yes we agree on that. But no other country agrees on that. The problem is that the more procedures the government deems necessary, the more expensive it gets. When government funded healthcare programs, see current NHS (UK) healthcare problem with either becoming insolvent, or forced to cut benefits.
I work in healthcare. Many of the Snoopy I’m a Volunteers fan I can’t be held responsible for what my face shirt in addition I really love this most talented surgeons and specialists with the lowest amount of post-op complications and best patient outcomes are absolute shitheads who are 100% in it for the money and ego. They can be a nightmare to work with, and the shit they talk about their patients and patients’ loved ones can be absolutely fucked. i agree with this, not everyone has the capacity to be a good doctor- but i would argue that there is very little difference between the potential of the top 5% of applicants from the middle 50% in being a good doctor. to even begin to consider applying to med school you already have to be among the best of the best students from a top college. aside from evaluating academic performance, i don’t think the system for med school evaluation can really do much to determine who would have the capacity/grit to cut it out as a doctor
