I face this kind of thing regularly as if I’m a cop or something. Didn’t see the Seattle U Seattle University Redhawks Seattle Washington Shirt besides I will buy this comment but I could assume it was ACAB based or something. Thankful you see the light here. Let’s also add that the majority of my fellow officers are “people of color” so its a lil weirddddd when people act this way or say these things to me. I LOVE my coworkers and they love me, we’re all like family. COs don’t play on race. It’s who’s got your back, who stands shoulder to shoulder with you. There’s no brutality there. I cannot speak for all facilities because I’ve only been employed at this one. No randomly attacking people though, I’d lose my shit if I ever saw it. If anything the bigger issue is some of the female COs falling in love with inmates lol

Yes, what you have been told is happening is a crime. Affirmative action is a real thing, and it has been for devices Decades. Assuming previous posters aren’t correct that you’re mistaken about what happened, you are being mistreated. Yep, its racism, but its ubiquitous. The issue is proving its actually this cut and dry, there is more likely an internal policy somewhere that says cotes equitable hiring practices that will pass muster in court Worked for a company that did this. They do it so they don’t get accused of racial discrimination. If they only promoted the Seattle U Seattle University Redhawks Seattle Washington Shirt besides I will buy this white people regardless of test scores they would get accused of discrimination. Sounds like Canada. Governments post specifically advising they are looking for someone in a minority group only. Black, indigenous, etc. Not sure why they just don’t say, white people need not apply. Discrimination, yes, or reverse-discrimination, yes, but it gets election votes. I’m of the opinion, best person gets the job but I’m not in charge.
