If anyone tries to do these things to you (control where you go, what you do, what your relationship to your mom is, promising things too good to be true, acting like a 14 year old boy when they’re in their 40s, etc.) cut them out of your life. It is not worth the Retired But Forever A Teacher At Heart Flowers Teacher’s Day T-Shirt also I will do this cost of therapy you’ll need when you’re older. I can’t say for sure that he’s trying to get into a relationship with you or have sex with you, but the odds certainly seem high. And, I can say this for certain, this is the beginning stages of emotional abuse. Whether he’s trying to be your mentor and abuse you, or your boyfriend and abuse you, it’s still abuse. The difference barely matters. If you’re close to an adult (your mom, a teacher, a friend’s mom) you should tell them. They’ll be there for you. Heck, if you need support, *I’LL* be here for you. Cut this guy out of your life. He’ll probably lash out and threaten you. Don’t listen to him. Once you quit, he can’t do anything. Losing a job at 17 years old, no ones cares. You’re going to college anyways, it’s a new start. He might threaten to get you kicked out of college, but this is bullshit. Colleges won’t rescind an offer unless you get arrested. Good luck to you. In the future, you have every right to say “you don’t talk to me like that.” It took me until I was 28 to realize I could say “no” to people, and tell them straight up not to treat me a certain way. Don’t feel obligated to smile and laugh to try to diffuse a situation that makes you uncomfortable.

DO NOT spend any more time alone with him. I’m serious. In any situation, as a young lady, you do not ever have to send any time alone with a man in a position of power over you. A doctor, a cop, anybody. You can ask to have someone else in the Retired But Forever A Teacher At Heart Flowers Teacher’s Day T-Shirt also I will do this room with you, and if they fight you on it, that’s the first sign something fucked up is happening. I’m his age, I have a daughter only a bit younger than you, reading about that dude makes me want to vomit. My husband would not take kindly to finding out a guy treated our daughter that way, to put it mildly. Tell your parents. Tell your parents this man is being a creep. No shit your mom would disapprove of him, because he’s a creep perving on underage teen girls. Maybe one day you will be a person who gets hired in a company, and the people hiring you will tell you you have a meteoric career ahead of you. Today is not that day, because you are just a high school kid who is still learning things. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
