Matt Reeves directing Bane vs Batman will be insane. I very much enjoyed it, but I also think if it was 2 hours as opposed to 3 hours and they cut out some of the Lee perry and the upsetters shirt in contrast I will get this extra stuff that didn’t feel super needed it would’ve been a bit of a better experience. There were some scenes that were absolutely epic, and others I didn’t love that much. It’s definitely a good film but not a masterpiece. One piece I found really interesting/touching: Wayne sees the young boy at the funeral, recognizing a shade of himself in the boy’s grief. We learn later that Wayne is a shade off of suicidal; he doesn’t care what happens to him/isn’t afraid of death. Later, he saves the same boy from drowning, perhaps metaphorically saving himself. Neat touch, I thought.

Can’t believe the Lee perry and the upsetters shirt in contrast I will get this Riddler used Reddit to organize that attack Just a question if someone could clarify some parts of the movie for me please. Spoiler alert (I dont know how to cover spoilers sorry) At the start of the movie Falcone talks to Selina and tells her not to be a stranger etc so I assumed he knew he was her father but then when she goes to kill him she asks him if he remembers Maria Kyle etc and so it seems he DIDNT know that he was her father. So was he just being a creepy old man at the beginning or did he always know she’s his daughter? Also I thought the riddler was getting off by killing people. I swear he unzipped his zipper when he killed Mitchell but maybe I am blind I must be getting old, I just can’t find one positive thing about this movie… how the hell can you claim this movie is better than the dark knight? Are you insane? I agree. Watched it at IMAX yesterday, and it dragged – and I’m someone who’s done The Dark Knight/LOTR trilogy all-nighter at IMAX. It just felt like typical Matt Reeve’s – a fine, average film. Nothing particularly memorable, or exciting. Heck, other than the theme, even the soundtrack was bland; sounded like 3 tracks – the theme, the lovey dovey one, and Something in the way And Ave Maria.. holy shit that Riddler singing scene will make me cringe for years to come hahaha
