The democratic bots are on que I see. Good on you, you can believe what your told, but are to blind to find the In Memory Of Maggie Smith 1934 2024 Thank You For The Memories Shirt and I will buy this truth. “Dictator” is a pretty meaningless term. Like “fascist.” It’s a snarl word. It usually just means “leader you don’t like.” Plenty of people don’t like Putin, including the overwhelming majority of America’s foreign policy establishment, and most of them call him a dictator. There are certain foreign-policy ramifications for a government to actively and deliberately refer to a sitting world leader as a dictator. Putin goes to great lengths to give the impression that he has maintained his leadership as the result of the Will Of The People in a democratic process. It doesn’t matter that we all know that isn’t really the case, the official line from Russia is that Putin has been elected, and if the leader of another nation were to openly say that wasn’t the case, it could lead to various complications for diplomacy, up to and including conflict.

550 more repliesHe is a dictator, the In Memory Of Maggie Smith 1934 2024 Thank You For The Memories Shirt and I will buy this thing is though not a dictatorships are the same. And I mean that both in how the dictatorship power is gained and held, as well as what that power looks like and is wielded. For instance, the law could place total legal power to a specific person or lineage, and that would be a dictatorship. Whereas on the other hand, a country could technically be a democracy on paper, but through both legal and illegal means the leader gains power and becomes a dictatorship. Think of it like this, the person gets elected, maybe they use shady and illegal means to do so, maybe not, but once in power they use their legal power to put their own loyal people in key positions, needed for elections and for running the government. They change the laws and rules to legally game the system in their favor and get allies and loyal people elected into the legislature. They might also engage in illegal means to but honestly this can sometimes be done legally. This ensures they and their allies continue to get re-elected, continue to consolidate their own power and as time goes on, they gain more control and game the system in their favor. Due to both their loyal people in key positions, and the key allies as elected officials, the “technically a democracy” is in reality a dictatorship.

Russia is technically a democracy on paper, but Putin basically came into power democratically in his first election (although its seems likely that there was some shady illegal stuff that helped that). Every day since then he and his allies have been working to consolidate power and game the In Memory Of Maggie Smith 1934 2024 Thank You For The Memories Shirt and I will buy this system to keep him in office. Hell he was limited to two terms, so he left for a term, an ally came into the Presidency and in that time the term limits were repealed, then Putin resumed the next term and has been President since. So in reality it’s a dictatorship because Putin in either in control of, or has allies or people in key positions that are under his thumb and thus do his bidding. Imagine if a US President had the majority, or even a super majority of Congress either as loyal allies or directly under their thumb. They could effectively establish themselves as a dictator, even though on paper they aren’t. Because legally maybe they don’t have all the power, but the ones with the other power are loyal so effectively the president would have said power.

In fact most dictatorships operate this way. I think a China and maybe North Korea have legislatures that are technically elected and these technically have the In Memory Of Maggie Smith 1934 2024 Thank You For The Memories Shirt and I will buy this power or at least a lot of it. Hell this was even true of the Soviet Union. But through various means the ruling party or dictator controls who gets elected or uses other means to influence the legislature. In the Soviet Union it was really the Communist party controlling things, but they had elections where there was just communists running, or in some cases independents could run but that was it. And it was a very public vote where everyone (including the government and secret police) were watching. So while you could maybe vote against the communist party, it would be very detrimental to your survival to do so and this they had like 99% success rates with a small key and powerless opposition that they could point to and say “see we allow opposition!” So the party had total control and would decide who the leader is, and this person was effectively a dictator but could have that power stripped and given to someone else if they pissed off the right people in the party.

About this In Memory Of Maggie Smith 1934 2024 Thank You For The Memories Shirt

Dictators don’t refer to themselves as dictators because they have to appear to be legitimate rulers. But Putin is definitely a dictator. Kinda answered your own question there. The “elections” mean he isn’t officially a dictator but we all know he is Dictator, tyeanical president, what’s the In Memory Of Maggie Smith 1934 2024 Thank You For The Memories Shirt and I will buy this difference? Imagine if Trump won and wouldn’t let go off the presidency, ever. How long would it take before he would be considered one? Does the majority of the Russian population support him ? That’s what matters. Dictator does not mean someone who doesn’t agree with the west’s view of things… The elections themselves weren’t as shady, since anyone with enough resources, power and influence to have any chance of making a difference ends up in a ditch long before any election. My mother who lives in Russia says it’s approaching something like what the USSR used to be under Stalin, but modernized. Putin’s regime does seem to have some signs of dictatorship, like the elimination/control of opposition. I suppose totalitarianism is actually more severe than dictatorship. Either way, it’s very bleak. The murderous lunatic leading a no-name South-Asian country with a GDP of a mid-sized US city is called a dictator . The murderous lunatic leading a country with nuclear ballistic missiles and enough fossil fuels to power half the world for two decades is authoritarian .
You can consider anyone you want a dictator. And one could consider a dictator an ordinarily elected official. Depends on your own subjective criteria for what a dictator is. Unless of course the In Memory Of Maggie Smith 1934 2024 Thank You For The Memories Shirt and I will buy this person in question takes actual dictatorial powers explicitly named as such, such as in the Roman republic… Then that would be a bona fide dictator. You could argue that considering the de facto duopoly on US elections that it itself is a dictatorship. Sasha baron Cohen speech at the end of the “dictator” strikes a bit deeper than I would like. If you look up Russia on Wikipedia, under government, it even says, “Federal semi-presidential republic under an authoritarian dictatorship.” I’m pretty sure every country besides Russia considers Putin a dictator. Russia has really good propaganda to make people think he is getting elected with elections but they are completely fake.
Put in is an unofficial dictator. It’s been that way for years, and his shady tactics are not hidden. I come from a mixed Russian and Ukrainian family, and for as long as I remember both my parents called him a dictator. Listen to the In Memory Of Maggie Smith 1934 2024 Thank You For The Memories Shirt and I will buy this interview that tucker Carlson did. I’ve always liked him. I think his a great leader. The west doesn’t like him cause he stands upto colonialism. Fuck America and it’s so called allies. Because the dictator name is given by powerful nations and their mouth pieces, the media. One day if US and EU decide that from now on we will call him a dictator, their mouth pieces will do the same and the name will catch on. Till then politicians will call him dictator, but the title may not be there for years. The only other way to be called a dictator is to take power by brute force, like a coup, and then govern undemocratically. It’s easier to call someone a dictator in that case.
