I’ve never had anything close to this bad and still I’ve fired a recruiter trying to get me a job because he was being shitty. A few years later he ended up getting me a job, it wasn’t about burning bridges or holding grudges just pushing back on shitty behavior. Calling out sick after a global pandemic that killed millions of people is just common decency. If they don’t believe that then you don’t want to work with them. Seriously, I thank people who call out sick (assuming they really are sick) because it is thoughtful and courteous gesture these days. That recruiter is a jerk.
