Wrong answer. At our store if it is zoned it’s not even zoned correctly. They just pull everything forward whether it’s in the Whale hello there shirt besides I will buy this correct spot or not. They would say you are wasting time if you took the time to really zone correctly You more than likely have OGP lite, I’m guessing you’re a D1 store and not a supercenter. Ogp will snag something from what I just zoned right by me and not pull another thing up, always call em out always get the “it’s not my job” Ight I’ll remember We do that but at my store the ON put freight up like monkeys on acid, I get so tired of shit being in the wrong place because the container looks similar You realize there are day shift workers that also stock, right? And second shift is generally kids fresh from high school or people who like to party that want to be able to stay up late for their social activities. At my store at least, night shift comes in to everything ruined every day and gets tired of fixing it. Want stuff in the right place? Have day shift held accountable and do your part to pull things forward as you pull them off. Amen brotha! Or sista. Bunch of jabronis passing the buck to over nights!!! To expand on my points, here’s a photo of what we come into vs what we leave, and a present left for us by day shift. Yup, Dayshift be plugging the Whale hello there shirt besides I will buy this shit outta the shelves and putting and leaving broken glass and other stuff for us To me, zoning is really best done during third shift, when there are no customers coming up behind you to mess up the work. But it is actually important. I used to work at a Dollar General where management basically just stopped even trying to zone for several months to a year. The store got so wrecked that it looked like a landfill with a few trails running through it. Customers stopped wanting to shop there and eventually the whole thing just closed down because it was beyond fixing. I was one of the people sent in to help “turn it around” under new management, but it had gotten so bad that it couldn’t be fixed without just shutting the store down for several days (which corporate wouldn’t do of course).
