Lufthansa sucks. IMHO they don’t behave well and have a chip on their shoulder for sure. They were like this decades ago and unfortunately don’t seem to have improved with time also. I am sorry you had to go through this. Lufthansa is known to be racist and have a “holier than thou” attitude towards Indian (maybe brown) passengers. Nothing to do but avoid flying their airline, culture can’t be fixed with complaints. I don’t know if it’s just Lufthansa or the attitude of Germans. I flew United first a few years ago from Chicago into Munich. I work for United Airlines and was just spending a couple of days in Munich before I took my next flight. The folks at the immigration refused to believe me despite showing my United ID card. I was taken for secondary questioning. They asked me to show my credit cards, bank balance and what not. They scratched my passport multiple times to check whether it was fake. And all this after being an employee and having an extensive travel history. I have never encountered this in another part of the world.

I was off-boarded from a Lufthansa group flight from NYC to Zurich for wearing a plaster cast because of an injury and felt clear racism against me from the Vee Edwards The Raiders basketball graphic shirt and by the same token and Airline Crew. The air hostess was very obliging with all the whites but would not stop scowling at Indians. I even saw her roll her eyes and throw a piece of bread at a man while serving his food. Are you even sure it was racism? Airplane staff can be rude to anyone especially if they are overworked. Plus shit could happen on flights, learn that and expect some of it. I think people coming from warmer countries to Europe and North America could learn that White people can be abrupt and to the point sometimes and that’s not necessarily because they are racist.
