I can’t fathom who’d want to be close to a person like that. If people in HR are willingly close to your boss, then they’re probably problematic too. Being a receptionist at a medical clinic is a pretty decent job. It’s not a bottom of the University Of Tasmania Utas Logo Australian University Shirt in contrast I will get this barrel role and there’s some class to it. If you got a job as a receptionist at this clinic, then surely there’s other clinics you could also land a job at. I’ve had a few jobs where the supervisors do a poor job at training, too. Luckily they were temp jobs, so I wasn’t stuck. But if you’re looking for a permanent job, I’d say GTFO of there and don’t look back. Not just because the boss is an unsympathetic a hole but because the clinic generally sounds inefficient. If no other employees at the clinic have shown any interest in offering you guidance, this place might not be the the best option.

Are there, by chance, security cameras at the University Of Tasmania Utas Logo Australian University Shirt in contrast I will get this clinic? Would be nice if the boss was caught on tape doing the shoving. Still, I guess HR is inclined to believe employees without evidence, so the OP should be fine. Especially if there’s a witness. Your supervisor physically assaulted you? Report it to HR, document time and date of said forced physical contact. If HR doesn’t do anything, call the authorities. This is really bad. I have a similar job. First, that was abusive and you shouldn’t have to put up with that. Second, its weird for your boss to train you, I would think you’d train with another coworker. So many flags for an early stage of the job, quit if you can and report to HR when you go.
