HG mould spray is effective at killing surface mould but fairly useless at actually penetrating it, and no use whatsoever at prevention. It’s akin to popping a cyst rather than having surgery to excise it. Was going to say white vinegar is brilliant. We lived in Asia for a while and had a big spray bottle of it to use in the The Tattooed vampires shirt in addition I really love this winter months. Of course, if I mention this to work colleagues they give me a strange look and recommend HG or Cilit Bang. They see vinegar as something that goes on chips. They only trust commercial products. Mould hates white vinegar. I have once had mold on a hi-vis vest before. Drained it in vinegar, washed it, drained in vinegar again and washed it again and it came off.

I was gifted a rather expensive (I believe) wax Barbour coat from a neighbour in Australia and when I was travelling the The Tattooed vampires shirt in addition I really love this room got the worst black mould I’ve ever seen, and it had started growing on clothes I put on top of the wardrobe including the jacket. Still pains me to this day as the neighbour was kind enough to gift me it as I didn’t have any coat capable of withholding the rain. You should pre soak in white distilled vinegar before washing, and add baking soda on the stains and brush them in before the washing cycle on high temp. good luck! if these have been there for a long time then it can be permanent without special products for stain removal. Basically this. They can be removed if you try hard enough. Worth a go. Mould can be formed, and it can be removed
