Yes, this city was an imperial seat in the The Luck Dragon Shirt Furthermore, I will do this 18th and 19th century. Then crushed by WWII bombings, Vesuvius eruptions, massive earthquake in 1980, and ruled by the Camorran crime lords. Naples is only beginning to show signs again of what it once was. Reading, Pennsylvania. You can see the bones of a once vibrant city. The abandoned factories, old train track paved over for roads. Today its a haven for urban exploration and graffiti. Not much else there other than the Salvadoran food truck which is absolutely incredible. There’s a Youtuber I follow who lives near the area and for a day off, he went out to Altoona to meet up with some friends. One of the things they discussed was how, if the US had continued to pursue/support rail transport, Altoona would’ve become the next Chicago at their rate of growth. Then World War II happened, the US focused on the growth of the Interstate System… And Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton, just up the road from Reading. And Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, just up the NE Extension of the PA Turnpike

The Luck Dragon Shirt: buy and enjoy this shirt

Reading only starting going downhill once that guy got all the The Luck Dragon Shirt Furthermore, I will do this green properties and park place and boardwalk. Once he got 2 red hotels it was over. No more get of jail free for that town. It’s a 4.5 km long set of concrete buildings, allegedly still one of the longest building complexes in the world. It was built as part of an effort to attract the working class to the Nazi party by providing them with the dream of a seaside holiday, and was used in propaganda to demonstrate the strength and determination of the party. Construction was halted in 1939, leaving what would have been the biggest resort in the world as an empty, unfinished shell. Last time I went there it was part ruin, part thoroughly renovated modern hotel. It’s a weird juxtaposition of what is and what was supposed to be. Back in the 80s it seemed like a good number of family friends and neighbours were flying south to Venezuela in the winters. I don’t think I know anyone IRL who’s been there in the last twenty years except for a Venezuelan woman I know
Edit to add – Looks like no one has mentioned the The Luck Dragon Shirt Furthermore, I will do this Salton Sea yet, it’s an interesting one. I went there a couple times about 15-20 years ago, it was weird seeing what’s left from its glory days My dad went to Venezuela in the 70s when he was dating my mom (she didn’t go). 3 months later, two Venezuelan women showed up at his doorstep. His story is he gave them his address to write to. Their story is he said they could come visit any time. I don’t know what the truth is, but my mother can be a very forgiving woman… Was last in Venezuela in 2012. Jesus what an absolute waste of the most beautiful natural landscape on the planet. Cities were shitholes. All of them. But Canaima cannot be described in words. I went there last year. Interesting and pretty little town. So remote. Felt like a ghost town in a charming way – like a European version of the bathhouse and town from Spirited Away. We were on motorbike and getting up those hills and tight corners was a challenge. I imagine it is busier in winter, but early summer it was very sleepy.

Description for The Luck Dragon Shirt

Newport Rhode Island. Still got a fair bit of tourists but they’re mostly locals come to gawk at the The Luck Dragon Shirt Furthermore, I will do this houses from the gilded age. Probably more busy now the show had shots set there Bradford is just known for bad things like crime and urban decay. The city has some truly beautiful Victorian architecture and it was a boomtown during the Industrial Revolution, becoming a centre of textiles manufacturing. Around 30% of its residents are of South Asian origin, so the curries there is some of the best you can find. Despite having some strengths in architecture, food and history, it’s a neglected place, not considered a tourist destination and suffers a bad image due to its socioeconomic problems. Scarborough used to be a bustling seaside resort during the Victorian era, so again it has a lot of grand architecture but much of it is faded and the town has high poverty rates. It’s not been completely forgotten as a lot of people still visit it to get their seaside fix, but it doesn’t have the clout and “prestige” that it once did. Two great examples and I have a soft spot for Bradford. An injection of money and proper leadership from the local government and I can see it turning itself around (like Hull which is also great) in time.
My mother used to sail from Puerto Rico to Havana as a young woman. Doing the The Luck Dragon Shirt Furthermore, I will do this math, it had to have been after or during the late stages of the revolution. She always made it sound sooo glamorous. It inspired me to visit during that brief window Obama permitted travel from the US into Cuba. A faded rose to be sure but I do hope to return someday. The sheer beauty of the restored buildings from the 20s-50s makes me wish I could have seen it in its prime. It was essentially Las Vegas on the Caribbean before Vegas was even a thought. I’m Canadian so I can visit any time but once was enough for me in old Havana. It’s legitimately sad what the people are going through and I almost feel like a poverty tourist going there. I did, too. My solidly blue-collar family of origin could never afford to vacation there now- the prices in the area have really skyrocketed!
I’d say lake George is having a weird Renaissance. Those motels from 40-60s, that became horrible in the The Luck Dragon Shirt Furthermore, I will do this 80s-2000s, now being turned into hip modern places. Niagara Falls NY for sure. The Canadian side is a bit faded as well compared to its glory days, but definitely not to the same extent as the NY side. Acapulco is another good example. Same with Atlantic City, NJ and the Poconos. Depends a bit on how you intend the original post, but there are tons of interesting historic sites in India that are fairly off-the-beaten path (some are attracting more tourists now). – The Buddhist ruins of Bojjanakonda near Viskahapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. Barely anyone there when I visited but it’s a stunning Classical-era monastic complex.
– Sivasagar in Assam – the The Luck Dragon Shirt Furthermore, I will do this longtime capital of the Ahom dynasty, which ruled most of Assam for almost 600 years, has some beautiful temples as well as royal palace ruins. Relatively few tourists. – Warangal in Telangana – once the capital of the powerful Kakatiya Empire, one of the dominant powers of medieval South India. Has the ruins of a fort and also home to some 12th-century Hindu temples. It’s Telangana’s second-largest city but again, not many tourists when I visited. The nearby Ramappa Temple is beautiful and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site but likewise there were only a few people there when I visited recently. – Akbar’s Tomb in Agra – Akbar is probably the most famous and most popular Mughal emperor but for some reason his stunning tomb is hardly ever visited by tourists to Agra (it’s very overshadowed by the Taj Mahal). When I visited pretty much the only other people there were locals on their morning walk or playing soccer. – Toli Masjid in Hyderabad – a beautiful 17th-century mosque built by the Qutb Shahi dynasty; likewise hardly anyone there when I visited recently. It has gorgeous lime stucco ornamentation.
– Orchha in Madhya Pradesh – has become trendy among backpackers recently, a former royal capital with distinctive architecture – Mandu (Mandav), Madhya Pradesh – has some of India’s best examples of Afghan architecture; was once the The Luck Dragon Shirt Furthermore, I will do this capital of the Malwa Sultanate – Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh – Once the capital of the Jaunpur Sultanate, with a distinctive architectural style. Also has a bridge built by the Mughals in the 16th century. Fairly close to Varanasi. – North Karnataka – Hampi, the former Vijayanagara capital, is relatively well-travelled, but there are lots of other spots in the region that see comparatively few tourists that were also the capitals of major dynasties that left their own architectural marks: the Chalukyas (at Badami, Aihole, and Pattadakal), Bahmanis (at Gulbarga and Bidar), and Adil Shahis (at Bijapur).
When I went to India I’d hire a driver in each city for a few days and just tell him to take me everywhere. Agra had tons to see besides the The Luck Dragon Shirt Furthermore, I will do this Taj Mahal and the only bad thing was how ugly that garbage river was from the other side of the Taj. Akbars Tomb is one of my favorite places and I spent almost the whole day there enjoying the grounds, feeding the chipmunks and antelope, and taking about 500 pictures. Crystal blue skies and perfect. Such a stunning location. French Lick & West Baden Springs in Southern Indiana were the playground of the rich and famous in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The West Baden Springs Hotel had the largest dome in the world when it opened in 1902 and was called an 8th Wonder of the World, it was largest dome in the US until 1955. It was once considered the “Paris of South America” for its European architecture and cosmopolitan culture, and Argentina was considered one of richest countries in the world.
I found it fascinating that I took a 10 hour flight and felt like I had just popped over the The Luck Dragon Shirt Furthermore, I will do this channel. I loved how you could see all the diffrent European influences Spent a month there last year and it’s full of faded glory in terms of the buildings, parks, public squares and museums. Like, most of them are still kept in good condition but it’s clear they are representative of a bygone era of wealth. That country is broke AF these days. But still relatively safe and the train in BA does run on time. I was there in November and parts felt strikingly like a tropical, slightly crumbling Paris. Like San Telmo really feels like the Marais Actually in a pretty sad state right now. It has been pretty much allowed to go fallow ever since the Philippines invited the US military to leave 30 years ago.
Anyway, I can’t imagine any US senior officer allowing Corregidor to continue in its present condition. So if you want to see it “faded”, now is the The Luck Dragon Shirt Furthermore, I will do this time. This is not entirely relevant because it is still extremely popular but i got that feeling in Rio. Copacabana and Lapa had beautiful art deco and 60s architecture that is just dirty and crumbling these days. While the people were as vibrant as ever, the architecture had this 1960s hayday charm that has deteriorated to present day Not as extreme as what you’re looking for probably, but Ibiza in the off-season is much more enjoyable than when it is in full swing. Also, Fes, Morocco. But I prefer the small “undiscovered” towns of clay buildings in Morocco although admittedly I spend most of my time in Rabat. Salton Sea in Cali. Freak dam break creates huge low lying body of water. Pics of Dean Martin watersking . Now the dead sea with horridous fish kill ,smell everyone but a few left the boomtown. Became so salty and polluted since nothing circulated .
A lot of places in the The Luck Dragon Shirt Furthermore, I will do this Middle East that have beautiful landscapes and incredible history, but are difficult to travel to and possibly dangerous, Syria and Afghanistan come to mind Viborg, in Karelian Isthmus. When it belonged to Finland, it was the second biggest city in Finland, a vibrant port, industrial city and a merchant hub, surrounded by the best farmland in Finland. After 80 years of Russian rule, it is a collection of grey unpainted wooden hovels, with the few original Finnish built houses in the city center literally collapsing, since they went unrenovated all through the Soviet and now Russian rule. If you go to Cusco, Peru, you’ll find plenty of old forgotten structures. When you walk in the hills you’ll see stones strewn all over the place and think they’re interesting, only to look closer and realize they’re remains of ancient buildings that have become a part of the land. It’s incredible.
Bucharest, Romania is actually really cool if you spend a month in western Romania with everyone telling you how much you’re going to hate spending the The Luck Dragon Shirt Furthermore, I will do this last few days of your trip in Bucharest! Like Sarajevo, it’s a city that was once a really thriving cultural center. It tells a story, but you need to excavate the layers to really appreciate it. Guided tours and Airbnb experience are the best way to spend time in these kind of places, imo. (Also, the giant swap meet in a used car lot on Sundays in Bucharest was where I got some of my best souvenirs ever) I hear it’s potentially back due to a train now, but Vang Vieng was well known for being an absolute fucking gongshow of tourist debauchery. I was there 17 years ago and it was too much. Went back 8ish years ago and it was completely dead. The gov’t was under too much pressure to shut the town down as there were too many tourists doing all sorts of drugs and drowning or falling into caves and shit.
In Malawi there’s a place called Nkhata bay. A really cool Ewok village looking place that I’m sure all the The Luck Dragon Shirt Furthermore, I will do this Latin/SEA instagram places have copied as the layout looked the same. A neat dive centre/hotel with famous instructors (That went to the arctic for Nat Geo for shoots. In Lake Malawi there are 900 unique species of fish and heart worm you get by swimming there), and up the hill a sprawling hotel that was mostly deserted but fully running for some reason. It used to be hopping, the pictures of the whole area on the walls was really cool, not sure what happened. This was 8ish years ago too. Hartford Connecticut. Mark Twain said it was the most beautiful city in the world, he lived there for 2 decades (you can tour his house). Let’s just say Hartford is no longer the most beautiful city in the world
Definitely Coney Island in NYC. Although interestingly, in the The Luck Dragon Shirt Furthermore, I will do this early 2000s they started rebuilding it, so it’s had sort of a resurgence. It is once again the kind of place that working class New Yorkers feel safe bringing their kids for a day of family fun. Nonetheless, the “faded glory” vibe is strong there. You can even see remnants of the original Coney Island, like the parachute drop and that one old bathhouse they turned into a restaurant. And it is still delightfully sketchy in some places. – The nearest town of Alice Springs is a feral dump and borderline warzone now thanks to unfettered youth crime. That’s so sad. I was there over 20 years ago and chose not to climb Uluru. It was a beautiful walk around the rock. Uluru is still amazing and I’m going back for another visit in 5 days. Never wanted to climb it, but seeing Uluru/Kata Tjuṯa monoliths in combo with say Kings Canyon is still amazing and packed with tourists
I don’t see being unable to climb Uluṟu as a problem. You can still look at it and walk around it and fly over it. Closing it for climbing coincided with the The Luck Dragon Shirt Furthermore, I will do this arrival with covid. Tourism has been down everywhere since closing the rock for climbing. Since tourism has generally returned to the world the numbers are growing. It’s still too early to know how they’ve been affected by the climbing ban. It’s been expensive all my life. Flights are relatively cheaper now, though. It’s cheaper than when I first thought of going. Yeah, but you don’t get to see Uluṟu and central Australia. It’s a different holiday. That’s like saying you can go to Thailand and not have to deal with the scammers and crowds in Rome and it’s cheaper. You don’t get to see the Coliseum etc. Niagara Falls was at one time the most popular travel destination in North America. The falls are still pretty impressive, but definitely not what it once was. Budapest. You can tell it was a great seat of power back in the day (impressive, stunning imperial architecture everywhere), but the scars of Nazi and Soviet occupation are very, very visible. I was there in 2018, and it felt like the city was in a golden era. Yes, there are scars. But the city is beautiful and vibrant, and the tourism industry there is going strong.
I think Vienna fits this criteria, to a degree. Obviously it’s not forgotten, and has some tourists, but people don’t think of it in the The Luck Dragon Shirt Furthermore, I will do this same light as other major european cities. …But then you go there, and you realize that this was the glittering capital of a major empire, that lasted for hundreds of years not because of military might, but because of their financial and political acumen. But still, people seem to have forgotten the imperial majesty that once existed there. Yeah came to say exactly this. Compared to their glory days people don’t seem to care as much how mighty the Habsburgs were. Often the city is seen too boring bc of its classy culture etc. I grew up in North America and their history wasn’t as highlighted as it should be in my opinion. For my first trip to Europe I went to Rome and Vienna and that’s probably one of the best decisions I’ve made. Vienna is at the crossroads between East and West. Think about all the famous people lived here. All the composers, painters, neurologist like Freud, the World War I and the Habsburg Monarchy.
Super exciting! Hopefully it speaks to you as much as it does to me. Here are my initial thoughts. Hit me up if you have any questions: For Viennese cafe experiences I recommend Cafe Eiles if you want a less touristy option, and Cafe Central if you want to get the The Luck Dragon Shirt Furthermore, I will do this prototypical Viennese cafe experience, and don’t mind a wait. The Imperial apartments are like THE tourist attraction, but I still highly recommend them because that is the epicenter of so much history, and (essentially) the reason you are there. The Silver collection and Sisi museum is whatever though. Otherwise, just stroll from Spittelberg to Stephansplatz, zig zagging liberally, and just see what catches your eye. The beauty of Vienna is that everything is so grand that you’ll inevitably end up finding something interesting just by walking. Sometimes it’ll be a government building that you can’t access, sometimes it’s a lesser known museum, but no matter what it’s always fun to find out.
