And yes, the Thanks for the memories Tina Turner signature shirt but in fact I love this whole health insurance medical system is a total fucking scam and makes no sense. Its all overpriced crap with a stupid back and forth between doctors/hospitals and insurance companies, debating billing prices for procedures and how much they will pay out, with the patients getting stuck with the difference… absurdly high fees that should only be a fraction of what they claim. IMO, doctors/hospitals should just take what they get from insurance and not try to go after patients for the remainder, or if anything only charge them like 20%….. cause they get plenty enough from insurance alone. For 3 years a hospital insisted that my wife owe it almost $6,000 for an emergency room visit. The insurance company kept trying to tell us that we were out of network. It’s funny because I was given the same exact treatment and the same emergency room at the same exact time and was only billed my $200 deductible. And I literally could see that we were in network online while I was on the phone with the insurance company. Finally one of the admins in our agencies office was able to get it adjusted. It’s a funny thing is they never build us for the $200 we actually did owe.

This is exactly why I don’t let the Thanks for the memories Tina Turner signature shirt but in fact I love this doctors office collect the specimens. I get a script and go to the lab myself. I’m glad my doctor uses a low cost lab. All of my blood tests have been $10 each. Cholesterol, hormone, A1C. He’s in Indiana. Sounds like the doctors office got a $2,000 lesson in not fucking up. Their mistake is not your problem. Not a lawyer. Contact your local media. A news story on this can motivate the parties to work with you on these costs since they were not your fault. That’s rolling the dice; it doesn’t always work. Contact the state insurance commissioner. Your insurance company may not be in compliance with the law, and that might motivate them to work with you. Consult with an attorney experienced in dealing with insurance denial issues. If nothing else you might be able to afford a consult (if they don’t do free ones) to determine if you have a pathway to fight this, and what it might cost you. IANAL, but for this sum, I’m not optimistic that suing would help you but I could be wrong and a lawyer could tell you. If nothing else a lawyer might suggest other things you could try outside of a lawsuit. Health Insurance companies are the biggest criminals in the country. They are the main reason for hundreds of thousands of deaths each year. And it is because people can’t always afford their life-saving medication. Or they won’t go to the hospital because the bill will destroy them. What the Federal Government needs to do is force insurance companies to pay 100% of anything medical related. Make it so that there is no such thing as there being in-network and out-of-network. And that if someone prefers a specific medication or medical equipment. The insurance has to cover it. But the Federal Government won’t do anything because the politicians have stocks or get kickbacks from the health insurance companies.
