She was 14? Your friend knew. She might of denied it but I guarantee he knew by looking at her that she was a kid. 14 year olds aren’t fully developed. Also, it’s pretty easy to tell when you’re having a conversation with a 14 year old that you’re having a conversation with a child. The only reason he kept asking was so he can have that as proof to say “he didn’t know” if he got caught. He is screwed in any state. 14? Dude your friend is gonna have his butt kicked in jail. What an idiot. I hope he learns his lesson being a sexual predator for the Sunflower Butterflies Leopard Breast Cancer Awareness shirt Besides,I will do this rest of his life. Tell your buddy to document all of his evidence that says he never knew she was 14. Make copies of it and give those copies to his attorney. Then he should just shut the fuck up about it and pray that he doesn’t get charged with anything. Doesn’t matter how old he is, or what his excuse is, he won’t be allowed to walk the yard or sit away from the sex offenders when he’s locked up and his face will go up on sex offender registries wherever he lives Mmmmm if she misstated her age and there are records of her misstating her age then in the eyes of the law he should be clear. Everyone’s got lots to say about this, but you have to remember that we do not have all the facts. OP’s explaination is brief and subjective by nature. Forming a fair opinion should be done only after objectively (as best you can) analysing all the facts/wider context. So a presumed adult (20+)female who has 2 kids has a profile on a hookup site that does not allow a female who even looks under 25 to create a profile. A 40 year old man is seeking female companionship and isn’t into barely legal in the least. Headshot pics are exchanged for recognition purposes and everyone seems to be on the up n up. They meet. The dude looks possibly more than 40. The female looks mid 20s. Hooking up is awkward from the start.Although some physical activity occurs, there is no “penetration” Not necessarily because of age, but certainly the age gap causes an uncomfortable atmosphere. The guy excuses himself and leaves. The police then arrest him. He then learns she was 15 years old. Sex offender list . Prison time. Dude was not seeking out young girls. Would not have been anywhere near there if he even suspected she was under 22 at the youngest. He believed her to be mid 20s. Didn’t matter. Even if the offender had every reason to believe she was of age and a reasonable person would agree, didn’t matter. She misrepresented her age on a website that verifies the ages of any candidate who looks under 25 , but that had no bearing. Didn’t even matter that every profile that mentions the words”young” ,”schoolgirl” or “barely legal”or similar tags were immediately deleted. Most womens profiles were listed at 30+ and most pictures were partial or veiled including the one in Question. They had been partaking in consensual , nonpenetrating activity. Due to her age, The attempt and Intent could be assumed by the court. I don’t know but it just seemed like my boy was set up somehow. Those dating apps are nothing but trouble. Regulation is paramount. He learned the hard way .
