Depends upon your state laws and the Stop Violence End The Silence Domestic Violence Awareness Wing shirt Furthermore, I will do this evidence. The fact that the investigation is going on and he knows about it means they likely have enough to convict him. Only question is what and how much time/money. Some states make 14 and under looking as to life others see 14 to 16 as something like 10 years. So you would need to look up state laws on that. Of course the lawyer likely went over all this during the initial consultation. As far as not being responsive.. if he doesn’t have any new news then he isn’t going to be in a hurry to tell him that. These things often take time. Since he did it I would look at a plea deal if I was in those shoes. Ur telling me that he couldn’t tell the girl was 14 years old? Na, something ain’t right about that..ur friend is probably a creep

Look if he really believed she was 19 he shouldn’t be convicted but how do you look at a 14 year old and think she’s 19? Rape. noun the Stop Violence End The Silence Domestic Violence Awareness Wing shirt Furthermore, I will do this crime of forcing somebody to have sex when they do not want it or are not able to agree to it. Oxford English. so legally I guess he didn’t . but bro, if u r mistaking a 14 yr old for a 19 yr old. you are a predator none the less. EDIT: not directing towards anyone, but if yu do this then yu kno who u r. Assuming your friend is charged with statutory rape, he may or may not be able to offer an “I thought she was over 18” defense. In most states statutory rape is a strict liability crime, meaning this is not a defense against statutory rape and it doesn’t matter if your friend sincerely and reasonably believed that the girl was over the age of consent. However, some states allow this defense. If he’s in one of those states he’ll have to plead facts in support of the idea that he believes she was of age, and that his belief was reasonable.
