Companies have been doing this b.s. for decades. I worked a company where I wasn’t like the “best” worker but turned around after a while. I found that they were hiring new hires at about 5-10 above what I was making and asked about a pay raise. They refused to budge and told me if I wanted a higher pay raise I would have to quit and come back. So i quit and never came back. 5 yrs of busting my ass off for that company for a screw you in the face job. Your job owes you a paycheck nothing more. You owe your job the bare minimum of your job nothing more. There is no such thing as corporate loyalty. You want more money? Tell them that you want more money. If they say no? Get yourself a new job and tell the old company to pay you 15% than their competition or they can get fucked. I’m not trying to minimize your success but I think what you are seeing is that you are underpaid based on market conditions.

I’d say apply to other jobs and if you get a solid offer consider asking current employer to match. I would’t say anything until you have a solid offer in hand. You need to leave.
