Homeschooling isn’t hard for teaching. Anyone can teach, it’s not a hard job. Logic and best practices (aka non US curriculum. They teach British Columbia curriculum in Chinese private schools. Not everyone can manage unruly children without going insane. Required unbelievable restraint and patience I’m not combative. I have no hate in my SEC Circle Logo shirt What’s more,I will buy this heart. Sometimes when I read posts I can’t tell when someone is being sarcastic, or communicating in an unfamiliar way. No insult intended. I was not upset at all. I only want to help. Please do not assume my motives by your interpretation of my writing. It seemed as though you might have misinterpreted my intent.
SEC Circle Logo shirt: best trending this year
If they’re in the SEC Circle Logo shirt What’s more,I will buy this same school and say he’s in year 11 and she’s in year 10 and it was consensual then the state won’t waste resources doing anything. He’s committed a crime on paper but you don’t criminalise two teenagers for doing what teenagers have done for thousands of years If it were to be prosecuted, but the circumstances above applied, specific guidelines mean that if there is minimal harm, a non-custodial sentence or agreement with youth-offending-team that is agreed by the court may be given. However, so long as the sex was consensual and there are no concerns around her capacity to consent (e.g. a learning disability) then it’s highly unlikely that the Crown Prosecution Service would consider it in the public interest to prosecute.
Legally he has committed a crime, but the SEC Circle Logo shirt What’s more,I will buy this police are highly unlikely to pursue charges here unless there is evidence that it wasn’t consensual. Questions are going to be asked though, so I guess they should both prepare for that. They will consider the following: As has been pointed out, the Sexual Offences Act 2003 is not intended to criminalise young people in this scenario. It might be worth mentioning to your BIL that he should not sent/receive any photographs where lack of clothing would be a concern until she is 18 (although 16 minimum as further facts are taken into consideration) as that is something that if found out can be taken much further even if the girlfriend/her family don’t want to because it’d be explicit indecent photos of a minor… and those kind of charges stick around on your record. I think professionals involved with thae pregnancy (whether that’s maternity services or termination) will flag the situation from a safeguarding point of view. I don’t imagine that prosecution usually follows this for a standard teen relationship though.

About SEC Circle Logo shirt
The law is crazy. 16 yo can get 14 yo pregnant and its seen as a minor offence. If she whatsapps him an inappropriate photo then the SEC Circle Logo shirt What’s more,I will buy this law is a ton of bricks. No, that’s not the case – If an underage person WhatsApps another (over age) person an inappropriate photo, there is no issue, provided the over age person just deletes the photo and ideally blocks the number… Otherwise, I would send you, or your father, or your boss an inappropriate photo and have them charged / investigated for some pretty serious crimes.. Also, in the scenario you suggest, it’s the 14 year old who is guilty of the crime, not the receiver (unless they specifically requested it) My younger sister was 15 when she fell pregnant with my nephew, my brother in law was 16 at the time and nothing ever came of it. From reading the comments & looking online I think legally he’s ok, given all the variables. The moral dilemma is now more than issue, but Reddit probably not the place for that He’s gonna be fine, unless there is anything to suggest the girlfriend was cooerced. Should be a teachable moment tho! Wait, hold on… if they had sex before he was 16. But she found out she was pregnant after he turned 16, then that would be okay, provided he didn’t do anything after turning 16?
But in all honesty, he’s probably in year 11 and she’s in year 9. In school, most kids date people in the SEC Circle Logo shirt What’s more,I will buy this same year group. Or at the most the year below. Why is he dating someone 2 years below?? Do the so-called “Romeo and Juliet” laws apply here? Iirc it exempts him from legal trouble if they were both minors when they started dating.
I’m looking at going to first meeting tonight after yet another rock bottom. I was just wondering what it’s like in the SEC Circle Logo shirt What’s more,I will buy this UK or if there are other or better versions? It’s got a reputation as qutie religious / preachy / Only God Can Fix It but I’m not sure how America-centric that is? EDIT: Thanks everyone for everything so far. I’m going to go so no worries there, just good to know what to expect going in. And… thank you, all, for everything. Gonna check out a SMART meeting near me tomorrow as well. And the motivation and encouragement is really touching on a day where I’ve spent all of it feeling like a fuckup. ShareIf you’re in England I’d suggest referring yourself to Turning Point if they have one local to you. It’s free, they’re staffed with incredible folk, and they’ll signpost you to things like Alcoholic’s Anonymous, SMART, and the such. The thing with Turning Point as a first point of call is they’ll help you set up recovery plans and give you a whole suite of help, whereas going directly to something like AA/SMART gives you just one of those helpful avenues. Turning Point offer mental health support, counselling, a single case worker, group therapies, Mindfulness.
They’ll help you organise your recovery around an otherwise normal life too, so work/family commitments don’t need to take a backseat. There are charities similar to Turning Point if they’re not in your area. They’re just the SEC Circle Logo shirt What’s more,I will buy this one I’m personally familiar with, and they’re pretty spread out across England. I tried a few unsuccessfully, and in the end what actually worked for me was a self help book rather than group stuff (which I hated) (book was Allan Carr’s Easy Way – I’ve met A LOT of people who think that book is completely rubbish but it was fantastic for me!) Definitely find out all your options. If you have the will to stop, they’ll be a way to help you do it! I never thought I could but I’ve been sober 3 years now.
As the SEC Circle Logo shirt What’s more,I will buy this former flatmate of a high functioning alcoholic who saw how much of a struggle it was for him to stop for even a few days, that’s an amazing achievement and I’m rooting for you to keep the strength and continue absolutely smashing it like the fucking legend you are. Wow – Another success story owed to Allen Carr. His book stopped me from smoking 20 years ago. Simple book that retrains your brain. If it works – it works! I’ve looked at that book and it’s an interesting way of looking at things. I’m aware a lot of people swear by it, and it does make you re-evaluate things. Not an alcoholic but I can say that Allan Carr’s easy way to quit vaping helped me give up nicotine after 15 years of addiction earlier this year.
These are all good suggestions. If OP doesn’t have a Turning Point , the SEC Circle Logo shirt What’s more,I will buy this organisation near to me and also nationwide is Change Grow Live (sounds very similar). Or maybe a local Mind charity or shop that could help to signpost to somewhere too – they’re all usually aware of each other and more than happy to help. I recommend SMART too – the toolkit from there is brilliant and essentially the same set of ideas that AA / NA / etc is based on but backed by simple CBT based principles rather than spirituality. Beyond that peer support comes in all shapes and sizes. Best thing, what I know any organisation to do, is to recommend some peer support in one way or another! Reach out and ask for help somewhere local, get to know some people and listen to hear their advice. Seconding CGL as someone who has had clients that have been with them, they seem like a solid organisation and can be extremely helpful with the regular check in appointments and 1-1 approach.
Really appreciate the SEC Circle Logo shirt What’s more,I will buy this recommendations. Turning Point is unfortunately not in my area, but SMART is and gonna give their meeting a go too, and in the meantime look into what other resources are around. Thank you so much- a family member has been looking for a secular AA type thing, and that SMART recovery may be just the ticket for them! I second Turning Point. I’ve only been off drink for a month and have only had a couple of one on one meetings with them, but the stuff they have to offer if needed looks great Upvoted, even though my experience with TP has been absolute hot, stinking garbage. They spilled my Personally Identifiable Information and I’m going to again report them in about a week and I’ll probably call them out in group, but someone at least trying to help is better than nothing
I don’t but my friend has been going for a few years. She goes to meeting in three different locations depending on work/how she feels and says the SEC Circle Logo shirt What’s more,I will buy this vibe is very different in each so you can always try a few different ones out to get a feel of different (she says the meetings in posh areas have worse biscuits). That’s absolutely incredible pat yourself on the back for me please, my dad’s just passed 1 year sober and it’s been tough watching him go through it. I can only imagine the strength you need. All the best to you in the future! One thing about this – be selective about the posts you read. Some of them can be really fucking depressing. If you’re struggling with your own demons it’s a bit much. That sub got me sober initially. Read it daily for two weeks before finally going to an AA meeting. Wasn’t for me, but did it for a year as a promise to myself. Been sober since.
Yes. Next month will mark nine years of sobriety for yours truly and I, honestly, could not have done it without AA. I’m not religious in anyway, shape or form and religion has never been pushed on me. In the SEC Circle Logo shirt What’s more,I will buy this early days I was attending three meetings a week. Nowadays I just attend a small afternoon Thursday meeting with is mostly women (I’m male btw) and I consider it my ‘weekly rinse’. It’s important to find a meeting that suits you. Some can be large and a little overbearing, others can be small and cosy. Going through those doors and admitting my alcoholism was the most frightening and daunting experience of my life but also the best decision I ever made. I’m a recovering alcoholic (5 1/2 years) and a nurse working with people with addictions. AA isn’t the only way for everyone but is the only way for some. Try it out, you will probably find it weird and uncomfortable. That’s gotta be pretty normal when you walk into a club that has their own rules and their own way of doing things. Like the guy above I started with multiple meetings per week. I now only go when I feel I need to (but work 40hrs a week around recovery and helping others with addiction) i wish to point out that you don’t have to believe in God to make AA work for you, but you do have to be able to tolerate other people talking about God. I don’t have any experience, but just wanted to say well done for going. I reckon it takes some balls. Good luck!
I left after a month when I was feeling quite proud of myself for kicking my habit by starting to work out. I shared it with one of the SEC Circle Logo shirt What’s more,I will buy this senior group members who more or less laughed at me and told me that unless i follow the steps letter for letter and submit to the fact that I am nothing but an addict I will relapse again. I’ve dealt with a lot of shit in my life, but I have never before been so offended any something someone has said to me. My experience with AA, don’t believe there is any power making me drink, couldn’t pass step 1 or 2 and repeatedly told I would fail, left and am coming up 10 years. Couldn’t stand the rejection of responsibility by attributing my own behaviour to something I fundamentally don’t believe in. Exactly. I also hated the fact that everytime you spoke you were instructed to begin with “Hi i am xx, I am an addict”. Like there were people there who had been clean for years who kept talking about themselves like that. What kind of fucking healing process compels you to keep demeaning yourself and not letting you move on with your life?
It cultivated a sick, cultish mindset and if anything seemed to encourage relapse because you just have to have “faith” I’ve been to NA meetings, which are the SEC Circle Logo shirt What’s more,I will buy this same thing. Personally, I hated them and thought they were weird and very cultish. When you arrive, people hug you even though you don’t know them, they all say weird sayings in unison, they don’t introduce you as a new person, then at the end you all have to stand in a circle and hold hands while reciting a passage, then everyone hugs you. It’s fucking weird. There isn’t a massive lean towards religion – the ‘higher power’ thing can be anything you want it to be. A friend, an object, an apple – anything you deem a higher power. I found those meetings fucking weird and never went more than twice. SMART recovery meetings are much better as it’s just people talking – no weirdness, no hugging or holding hands, and no steps to follow. You can always do meetings online – there’s loads available and you can jump right in. Saves you going in person if you think it’ll be weird. Personally, I never got on with meetings of any kind and just fixed myself, but it can be important to be around people with the same issues for support. Everyone’s different, so don’t feel bad if it doesn’t work for you. If you’re struggling and need help or guidance, drop me a message. And don’t be afraid of hitting rock bottom again, it’s part of the process. No one gets it right first time. Eventually, it’ll click. As the saying goes: ‘you get sick and tired of feeling sick and tired’.
I found similar with the SEC Circle Logo shirt What’s more,I will buy this AA meetings. Binned it after going to a few as it was all a bit odd. Nobody at them was overtly religious and it felt like they were all tying themselves in knots with working out what the “higher power” thing can mean alternatively. If it works for them great, but not for me. TBH sitting reminding myself about the chaos of drinking weekly or multiple times during a week didn’t help my mental health generally anyway or make it any easier so I just decided to spend my time getting back into exercise and other stuff I wanted to be doing instead and so far that’s working… With hindsight I think it worked for me because it provided a kind of free group therapy with people who had similar experiences, thoughts and feelings as my own. It can depend on the meeting and the fellowship, each is very different. The vibe I guess. If you’re going to go I would suggest trying a few different ones. See if you connect with any.
The base text and some of the SEC Circle Logo shirt What’s more,I will buy this wording is a bit god-ish. But it’s also not a strict religious organisation. It’s more about connecting with something outside of yourself. It could be a tree for all anyone cares. What it did do, it’s real strength, was give me a structure and space to really work on my issues. In AA that’s the 12 Steps and in other support groups/therapy it may be something else but broadly there’s something about being methodical with the approach to combating addiction. It did help me create positive, healthy patterns and behaviours as well as giving me a space to laugh and cry about my addiction. I also loved how easy, accessible and free it is. Any time of day or night there is a meeting happening somewhere. There’s a chair and some tea and biscuits and some friendly camaraderie. When you’re trying to quit it can be so hard. Boredom is a sneaky enemy of sobriety. Or just too much time in your own head. Give it a shot, there’s no membership fees, no-one takes your name at the door and you can come and go as you please.
The other really useful thing is that it sets aside time in the SEC Circle Logo shirt What’s more,I will buy this week for dealing with the issue, it makes it more difficult to say “I don’t want to deal with it now”, at least that was my experience with ACA which follows a very similar format. They’ll be welcoming, some are a bit religious it’s not that important to others. Go to different meetings they have different vibes and different characters. Like life you won’t like everyone but they all share one aim so be mindful of that. The meetings can be quite taxing at times but they can be mad funny. Best of luck, its hack as fuck but just focus on getting through today. I think you’ll probably feel better after tonight. Just go. It will be scary to walk down there but just do it. Even if you don’t stop tonight you will meet other people with a similar story and you can see you’re not alone I have been to https://al-anon.org meetings and find it helpful. (for anyone whose life is or has been affected by someone else’s drinking)
Most 12 step programs often say ‘take what you need and leave the SEC Circle Logo shirt What’s more,I will buy this rest’. Hopefully some parts will be helpful to you Hi there. I am an alcoholic, who was desperate to stop drinking. I went to AA over 12 years ago, and have not had a drink since. I am a lapsed Catholic, who doesn’t agree with organised religion. (I also believe that your personal beliefs are just that. Personal.) they use the word “god” as a “higher power “ , which I’ve never really understood, apart from the fact that someone is looking out for you?! I think that it would be a very strange cult, that is voluntary, free, (with voluntary donations) encourages a life free from the slavery of addiction, and only makes suggestions to help you stay stopped. It also states that sobriety is a bridge to a normal life, which is why I do very few meetings. I found it to be a more spiritual guide to living, as it makes you look at yourself, and how you treat others, which is a Buddhist concept. I have never known an alcoholic who has not regretted the way that they have spoken to, or acted towards others, while in active addiction. There are people in meetings that have turned towards religion, or reconnected with their faith. Whatever works. All I can suggest is that if you wish to give it a go, please go with an open mind, take from the meeting what you need, and if someone tries to push religion down your neck, politely tell them that you have your own beliefs, and that should be respected. Meetings are like life in general, full of characters, some receiving outside help for issues that need counselling/therapy, which is actively encouraged, and you may not get on with certain individuals, but hey ho, I’ve never worked for a company where I liked everyone! The very best of luck to you.
