A higher price we could pay if our labor wage was not also comically suppressed in the name of the sociopathic pursuit of wealth. Ah, planned obsolescence. They got to get your repeat custom somehow. Otherwise the execs and investors don’t get their pay day. Well put. But how are those execs gonna afford their 7th super yacht? They need one for every ocean, are you even a person if not ? We might not want these things at all if we didn’t grow up in economies that require constant consumption to thrive. We’re conditioned to think that acquiring material things will make us happy. You’re just a grind away from affording that better car, better house, better clothes, the newest smart phone model etc. Meanwhile most of us feel like we don’t have enough fulfilling friendships, enough time with our family, time to cultivate our passions, travel, etc This simply isn’t true. If given the choice, most people would pay up to 20% more to ensure the ethical production of goods. The problem is that consumers are never given that choice. Any price increase is done to increase profitability and generate an ever increasing cut for the owner class.

It’s all bull shit and sickening. So we’re subjected to supplementing the higher-ups moorage/beach-house payments through paying for higher prices. It’s out of control. I bet we could do it if we got rid of the billionaires and capped wealth at say 100 million. Even that’s probably more than anyone ever needs.
