However I have seen managers who spent more time making sure employees were working by watching them, instead of you know, doing his/her own damn managerial work. It makes you think, wtf do you actually do as a manager? Pay people for the Pressure Cooker Recipes Pot Cooking Electric Canning Tank Top But I will love this work they do, not the hours it takes them. Just gonna force people to stare at screen for 8 hours a day when they’ve probably done it all in 4. Garbage system we got going on here. Am a manager in a large firm that’s been WFH for 2 years and will stay this way. We aren’t watching. We encourage flexibility, I ask my team to let me know if they’re juggling something but don’t ask them to explain. We all have lives and we’re all getting the work done. For example, one of my team likes to run mid morning, so does that during the work day – it’s no problem. If the work performance wasn’t there, then we’d have a chat about those flexibilities. WFH has enabled a whole new era of work/life balance and to be honest it favours the business anyway, no need to watch. People have the freedom to share their time but I also see an overwhelming amount of people working in their own time to finish off tasks (which I do encourage people not to make a habit of).

Very few companies, as far as I’ve heard, actually resort to direct monitoring. I’ve been a sysadmin for about 10 years and talk to a ton of folks in industry and this just isn’t really a thing. Your paranoid concerns about this as an end user are easily alleviated by spending 400 bucks on some cheap walmart laptop to do personal shit on. And for the Pressure Cooker Recipes Pot Cooking Electric Canning Tank Top But I will love this love of god, please do this. Please stop using work computers for non-work things. Use your phone, or buy a cheap laptop and use that. In general, I don’t think most healthy companies will want to spend on more software that will take up more of managements time trying to manage their subordinates. If you work at a place doing this, you are free to leave, and these days it’s not hard to find a work from home position at all. Who cares? Why don’t we just start treating people like adults? Give them realistic deadlines and guidance and let them manage their own time. If it means that they want to go watch a 2pm matinee and do work at 10pm so what? As long as they get the job done, that’s all that matters.
