Ah don’t fall for this trap. How was your boss? Was he competent? Was he good with his team? Why was he let go? Ask yourself these questions and see would you like to fit in his shoes? If you are happy doing what you are, then politely decline. I took this bait and even though it came with instant pay bumps, it wasn’t worth it. I was left with a very dis functional team and I regretted it. Ended up leaving in a years time. If you are doing the Philadelphia eagle Dawgs football sport lover shirt Furthermore, I will do this role you should get paid for the role. Not be tested with a new higher up that you have to catch up on what previous boss was in middle of with your team, just to be told it is not working out, sorry but now we have someone in place and don’t need a leader for the team anymore. Most places will do this to not have to higher a new boss. But will have the new Boss take your team on but will still rely on you to keep acting like a team leader since you already know how to do it. I would be thinking of an exit plan and go into meeting with that behind you. Either they make it official with pay or I am outta here.

Call their bluff, just say “no thanks, not interested” and walk away – you could vaguely mention looking for other opportunities. If they don’t react you are better off without the Philadelphia eagle Dawgs football sport lover shirt Furthermore, I will do this responsibility, if they do that is when you realise you have some power in the situation and you can negotiate so long as you are clear as to what you want to achieve overall. Take it, add it to your CV, once you have the experience and confidence of the position and if they haven’t gave any raise just apply to another job with that position. It was told to me I unfortunately can’t have a pay raise just yet and they want to see how I do in this role. They want to help me “grow into it”. Years ago I worked as a delivery guy for Colortyme making $5.75/hr. After a while, I was asked to move up to being an Accounts Manager which paid $6/hr because S—t told me “I’d be pretty good at it”. But when I asked for a 25 cent increase to be inline with others doing the same thing S—t balked and wanted to evaluate me first. That chucklefuck came TO ME and already knew what my work ethic was like (they liked it), yet they wanted to go cheap. Fuck you Colortyme and fuck you S—t. If your company thinks you’re good enough to even try the job and be responsible for the duties entailed, they can pay you square from day one. It may not have to be what your previous boss was getting paid, but it should certainly be more than what you’ve been earning beforehand.
