Honestly? I would chalk it up to experience–there’s nothing much you can do, and I would treat yourself to another photo session with a photographer that you like (ask around, get recommendations, don’t pay in advance, etc etc). It’s nice to have a couple of nice family photographs. You could even set some up with a timer and your cell phone and come up with some perfectly nice photos (that’s what we ended up doing). I have been involved in quite a few photo sessions and never has the photographer been more than a minute or two “late” past the specified time. This photo session was handled horribly. Does he work for a larger company? If so, report him.
