Yes, back in the Official stephen Strasburg Clutch T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this 1980s, the old West, before electricity or plastic, it was a lawless place. We’d ride our dinosaurs uphill both ways to school, then we would sit on our wooden desks, and talk about how the eclipse was the work of the devil. Smoking cigars, and drinking beer, because the drinking water in the towns had cholera. It was a big problem until we discovered germs in the 1990s. This is kinda smart!! .. so infuriating when kids won’t stop squeaking their chair to get laughs, they lean back in their chair & hurt themself when they fall, one of my students with behaviors would pick up his chair and walk around with it for no reason, students with really bad behaviors sometimes use chairs as weapons or throw them around the classroom when they have a tantrum. We aren’t allowed to do anything but evacuate or try to verbally calm them down which often doesn’t work for very severe behaviors. This honestly solves a lot of annoying behavioral problems that have to do with chairs haha

Shop class project? Except my shop instructor from bitd (industrial arts!) would not let something like that leave his shop! I don’t think those desks were ever common. Does your teacher have a side hustle selling sketchy furniture on etsy? Omg, really, the 1980’s? Maybe the 1880’s. No slight, but ergonomics was a thing “way back then”. However I will say, no way are you falling asleep in that and should take advantage of the support your back will get from forced posture. Consider it a full exercise desk for your brain AND body. You meant 1880s, right? It’s ok, my brain would go numb if my butt had to sit on those things for 10 minutes. Somebody got a kickback from this. Somebody’s dad/brother/wife is an amateur woodworker, maybe the teacher? Show picture to doctor and get a medical excuse for reasonable accommodation desk & chair, if you can. Pricey. They’ll think twice next time. I don’t think your teacher’s the one that decided this, but if they are, tell them to use one of these desk too if they think it’s so good. That’s more like an 1880s model. I went to public schools in the 1960s and 1970s. These thugs would have killed me. Remember, you can’t wash away shit carved into wood. It’ll be yalls friend when they realize how many desks they’re going through. Always a way to protest bullshit. Carving in your desk is just fun way to do it.
