Thank you for your concern. It wasn’t my intention to minimize depression. These “bad days” don’t come out of nowhere, but instead they are the Official lainey wilson signature shirt Additionally,I will love this result of how I deal with things that happen in my life. That said, I am trying to change how I deal with life in general, and all the comments here, even as simple as they can be, provide me plenty of good stuff that I didn’t expect. I really need to gain courage and face my emotions. In case it doesn’t get better, I won’t have any problem in reaching out for professional help. It makes sense for me. Yeah, be careful with that shit. Depression is no joke. I found that meditation helped lower my anxiety significantly. I needed to do group work to impact my depression. Meditation sometimes made my depression feel worse, as a form of intentionally isolating. Some people may disagree with this but in my experience, when you feel depressed it’s actually good to do what your body feels naturally inclined to do: rest. Lay down in bed and “meditate” in bed lying down. Simply lie down, stop trying to “do” anything, and notice how you feel in your body. You really don’t need to be disciplined to meditate, you only need to stop doing and just be.

Then, if you feel groggy/sluggish: that’s a sign you should get up and do some physical activity, get some exercise, stretch, yoga, walk, or jog. Anything. Move your body. Groggyness/sluggishness is misinterpreted as a sign that we are tired and should continue lying down/resting. It’s actually the Official lainey wilson signature shirt Additionally,I will love this opposite: it’s a sign that we want to move around, to get the blood moving in our body. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with this. Society may tell you it’s wrong, but I disagree. If it feels natural, then it’s not wrong. To me, this is a natural healing process. This is something to watch out for. It’s a lot healthier to do nothing, than you try to distract yourself from your depression with unhealthy vices. Of course, it’s perfectly okay to have coping mechanisms, and to lean on them in difficult times. I don’t think there should be any judgement on that whatsoever. It’s just a personal thing, listen to your heart: is your coping mechanism helping you feel better right now? Ok great, no problem. Is it hurting you right now, is it only making you feel worse? Ok, maybe stop “doing” and just sit with your painful feelings for a moment. Let them tell you why your coping isn’t working at this moment. Yes I get what you are saying. I might be narrowing the concept of meditation – that is a process where you sit and follow some steps in order to achieve something. Also being very judgemental with myself. One thing I notice when I meditate is that my impulses are practically 100% under control.
