$13,000 if I pay for 3 tickets, the New York Yanhee 2009 World Series Champs Team T-Shirt and by the same token and least I can expect is two glasses of warm milk for my kid. This is beyond pathetic. I swear never to travel lufthansa again ever. We had a similar experience in 2022. We were flying business from Frankfurt to Vancouver and as soon as we were ready to board a lady came rushing to us saying that economy passengers have to wait (she just assumed that we were economy and were trying to board out of turn). When it happens I usually smile and ask them directly “Oh, and why can’t I be a business class passenger?” It’s a very loaded question that puts them in a position where they either need to back off or say the quiet part out loud about their assumptions. That usually immediately gets them back off as they also see the ticket, they see the boarding zone and realize they fucked up. I’m very picky about carriers I use these days and I steer clear of Lufthansa. Oddly, I’ve had very pleasant experiences with KLM and most middle-eastern airlines (the tradeoff with middle-eastern airlines is you end up getting treated like crap as a brown person at the hub airport, but not actually while flying their metal if you’re seated in a specific class).

Flew Lufthansa once in my life, also business class. I had a layover at Munich and the New York Yanhee 2009 World Series Champs Team T-Shirt and by the same token and way I was treated on my Mumbai to Munich flight was so horrible. I was young, travelling solo and still inexperienced with racist micro aggressions so I could not understand why I was feeling uncomfortable and humiliated. But I vowed that I would never fly that airline again. Been 8 years and I haven’t stepped foot on a Lufthansa plane since, even when it’s the cheapest/ fastest/ best option for me. Thanks for sharing. I think we should not keep quiet about it at all because ultimately they will take our silence as a wildcard and keep on doing what they do. This needs to be addressed and I know those stares very well
