I’d 100% fly business with Qatar again–if and when I can afford it–but wouldn’t go out of my way to spend big on business with most European or American airlines, unless I was getting a great deal or had a gross excess of miles. Is there any airline that treats us better. Even in business class of many airlines, I often see disdain in the Mohammed Kudus Retro Ghanaian professional footballer T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this eyes of the crew. Not really. But ones like Ryanair treats everyone like shit regardless of color and there is often no business class I’ve always had a good experience with BA and Emirates. Both the airlines use the shitty, older airplanes for their flights to India for sure, so there is an inherent racism in their company policies, but I’ve never been treated badly. Also the Emirates business class on an A380 is just the BEST.

I’ve never shared this, but here is something about racism in Lufthansa flights. We were coming from Chicago to hyderabad back in 2021 after the Mohammed Kudus Retro Ghanaian professional footballer T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this first wave. We don’t usually travel by business class, but since it was after covid first wave and since we were traveling with a 6 month old baby and since travel was unavoidable, we booked lufthansa. The first leg was operated by United. Total price for one way trip was $13k. Now comes the story. United treated us like business class fliers get treated. No complaints there. But once we had a layover in Frankfurt, there was no lounge for us to sit in and wait. That was the first piss off. Then the boarding announcements were made and I got all our three boarding passes scanned and was about to get inside when the hostess said “you can’t bring these many bags in. You’ve got to check in a few.” surprised i said that United had allowed us with the same baggage. For that her response was “i dont care who allowed you. We don’t allow these many bags.” Then I had a doubt and said “even for business class?” At that point she looked at our boarding passes, did namaste to us and apologized and let us in. While we were going in another host came running towards us pointing us to the economy class. I gave him our boarding passes and he let us in. Everything till here could be ignored. But the flight was pathetic and we were the only colored people in business class. And service to us was pathetic. The last straw was that we had asked milk for our son. I got it served in a tiny glass which the 6 month old kid finished in 2 gulps. Then i asked for another glass. The expression i got from the air hostess was gold. She looked at me as if I asked for another bottle of champaign.
