Bruce Wayne is a huge asshole to Alfred in this, and I’m not much for it, even if he is going through a lot. Reaaaaally bothers me that Batman and Gordon just left penguin tied up underneath the Minnie mouse and daisy duck love summer gift shirt also I will do this overpass. Like, that car chase killed at least a few people, those semis went up in flames. And you mean to tell me that neither Batman nor Gordon think that that isn’t enough to put him away? They’ve definitely worked harder for less. Edit: Also seems shallow to reference all time greats like Hush and Long Halloween, and then strip out all of the things that make those stories interesting. Gotham became its own character. I’ve heard the city in Se7en described as ‘a better Gotham than any Gotham’ and this felt like that but even better. Absolutely nailed it.

Not trying to compete with Bruce Wayne as a playboy millionaire. I loved the Minnie mouse and daisy duck love summer gift shirt also I will do this socially reclusive depressive vibe and as a non-comic reader who doesn’t know how he’s supposed to feel, this at least seemed really realistic for what I’d expect from his upbringing. The diversity in the cast, and most importantly that it wasn’t diversity for diversity’s sake. Catwoman could have been any race and I don’t think it would change her character much, but a black Gordon and a young black female mayor added a lot to those characters in such a positive and dimensional way. The lack of choreography for the fight scenes. The first one was alright, but otherwise they felt generic actiony to me. I feel we’ve had a lot of films in the last 10 years raise the bar significantly for choreography in action sequences and if this one had competed there it would have elevated the film a lot to me. Zoe Kravitz in general. Every single other actor/actress in this nailed it, besides her (in my opinion, obviously). She comes off on screen and in interviews as her only personality trait is being hot and famous and where every other character came off as dimensional, she didn’t and her role was too significant for that to not feel noticeable.
