It is unfortunate though we are in the 75th year of Independence and claim a Unity in Diversity these small caveats are playing a spoilsport in the goo fabric though. It’s doesn’t happen at my workplace, generally people are smart enough to not openly display their prejudices at workplace. Usual response is to ignore stupid people, because if they had the ability to be smart, would they be so stupid? But HR escalation can be made when people cross the line before that can try probably manager escalation or someone telling them directly that it is not cool to talk like that. Things can be taken to the HR as a last measure if people fail to rectify their mistakes or start causing problems to others repeatedly. Some North Indians are just gross. I have the exact problem with North Indians’ mind. I am a north Indian too and feel ashamed why people from North India think like so. Why can’t just people appreciate diversity, other languages and their culture?
