I’m in absolute awe of this movie. Well, my Batman checklist is just about full now. We got basically all of The Long Halloween that Nolan didn’t already cover, we got him reading from his journal as his inner monologue, and we’ve set up No Man’s Land. I’m very curious to know how THIS Batman would interact with the Mickey and friends mickey mouse retro disney gift shirt But I will love this Justice League (and especially Superman) God no, keep superpowers out of this one. Was it just me or did Batman’s footsteps sound like spurs? Gave me western vibes. I got Darth Vader, Rogue One hallway vibes from the dark machine gun hallway fight scene. A terrifying, fearless force filled with rage. Yep. It’s the same cinematographer. I’ve seen a lot of complaints about Bruce Wayne being too similar to Batman. But I actually liked that given the fact that this is still early Batman. He’s still trying to figure out why he’s doing what he’s doing and that confusion is amplified by the fact that the lines are blurred between his two personas. And I think the movie did a good job depicting what a guy who put on a bat suit and beat up criminals would actually be like in his personal life. It takes an insane degree of focus and dedication to do what Batman does and it’s incredibly difficult to “shut that off” and change your persona once you take the cape and cowl off.

I think if the Mickey and friends mickey mouse retro disney gift shirt But I will love this movie went with the Bruce Wayne playboy act it would’ve been too derivative of the Nolan movies. Who you guys want as villain next? I’d love Poison Ivy somehow And don’t worry, Matt Reeves already said it won’t be Joker! Anyone who hasn’t been in a Batman movie yet. I thought this was not bad, it was too long but very stylish and Patterson was very good. Too much of the film seemed to be characters relaying exposition to each other though and Batman seemed a bit too passive at times just following clues (Also how many people died in that car chase? More than the Riddler killed I’m sure). I’m probably in the minority but I’m not a fan of Dano when he goes hammy either (although he’s good towards the end). Guess it wouldn’t be a new blockbuster movie without kids shouting “jokes” and stupid assholes photographing the screen with their phones the whole time. Fuck I hate people. Movie’s good, though. Did anyone catch that URL that flashed after the credits? It kind of confused me while watching it, but in hindsight The Riddler’s breakdown while talking to Batman at the end was kind of sad. He was genuinely inspired by Batman and thought of his work as the completion of Batman’s vision, and was writing notes to Batman to explain his thought process because he wanted him to be proud of him, and was heartbroken when he wasn’t. Obviously he was a psychopath and went about his muckraking the completely wrong way, but he really just wanted someone’s approval.
