Not that I’m bagging the Michael myers butcher shop shirt in addition I really love this realistic tone cause it went well, but I’d really enjoy if we got some more of the sci-fi elements of the Batman universe. Like Man-Bat, Mr. Freeze, or Clayface The jail scene of Paul Dano talking to Batman reminded me Javier Barden in 007. Damn Paul Dano is really good The fact that it was raining in almost all outdoor scenes, coupled with the detective work, the color schemes, and overall bleakness, constantly reminded me of the movie Se7en. One little thing I loved that make this film even more “comic booky”, this is the only Batman film with narration right? Usually Batman talks thinks aloud to Alfred or Robin, but here we actually get comic book dialogue boxes. Reminded me of Rorschach journal entries or Frank Millers lines from Sin City. Haven’t seen anyone mention it (just saw the movie) but can we talk about the insane chemistry between Bruce and Selina? Pattinson and Kravitz fucking nailed it. I don’t know if I love this more than The Dark Knight but the Riddler’s terrorist attack was the best climax in a Batman movie. Such a tense atmosphere all throughout.

I really really liked this film. Probably the Michael myers butcher shop shirt in addition I really love this closest vibe to a Batman Graphic novel ever put on screen. But If that hint at the end about Riddler’s Cellmate implies that the Joker is a part of this universe, I think they might be headed in the wrong direction. There have been sooo many joker interpretations, three of which are now iconic and two of which have led to Oscar’s. Why introduce yet another one??? There is suchhh a deep bench of Batman villains they could pull from any comic….I hope it was just a red herring :/ The sequence of revealing the Batmobile, followed by the chase scene was so fucking good. The sound of the engines firing up with the flames and lights was incredible. Then the shot of the car jumping through the fire was awesome.
