Yeah all these layoffs is just greedy companies trying to get rid of all the MCDONALD’S stitch shirt and by the same token and employees they hired for a higher rate during the pandemic and now don’t need/want to pay those rates so they are laying those people off so they can start hiring with the rate they want again But the CEO will take a pay cut first, right? That’s the first thing they’ll do to “save money,” is bring CEO and top executive salaries in line with the rest of corporate staff. Right? LOL! Of course not! Moral corruption when you automate everything then axe falls and they only care about liability to corporate personnel. I guess screw the little people as long as they maintain profits. Tax automation. If you know you’re getting fired anyways, just show up to the office and attempt to work and just be as awkward as possible. Of course these places probably have security that is told to let nobody in.

It’s everyone so the MCDONALD’S stitch shirt and by the same token and offices apparently will literally be locked. Such a cowardly move on their part. I’m disgusted. What a bunch of pussies yet I’ll still see a bunch of waste of lives ordering from them in the morning…just like the line at Starbucks. any day now our legislators could actually confront the epidemic of for-profit layoffs by severely penalizing them, but apparently they only care about jobs that you can put in a campaign ad, like factories I can’t remember the last time I ate McDonald’s. Sometimes I crave it. Last fast food was BK. There’s just better fast food options I think. You can go to a restaurant supply store and get the frozen egg/sausage discs, I priced it out at 1.60 a mcmuffin at my place I think that the cost and the wait times (due to Uber getting priority over customers) has killed their business model. While they aren’t the bastion of healthy food, it’s sad to see such a large employer have to do this. I work for a semi large multinational corporation that contracts for a state and when our state cut down the size of the contract (and thus number of workers at each position) my corporation laid zero people off. They forced position switches for some people and just over staffed other positions until enough people left that they rebalanced to the correct numbers. Isn’t McDonald’s pretty much an automated vending machine at this point? The ones near me usually only have two people working. Order and payment are all by touch screen now.
