Oh boy here come the Marvel venom vintage comic book cover vintage gift shirt but in fact I love this downvotes. I didn’t mind the Joker scene. Im stoked to see where reeves takes that character and what other characters he brews up alongside Joker. He’s obviously got a vision and I trust he’ll give us something unique and worthy of my $15. That being said, I would love me some Hugo Strange, Mr Freeze or Poison Ivy. i dont think you will get down votes for saying you liked a scene. It was fine, ill happily watch if they want to make the Joker a villain, but i sort of hope they tease him more in part II and then make him more prominent in III. I loved the movie, but I do have 3 criticisms. The plot got a little convoluted, especially when Thomas and Marta Wayne were implicated in the conspiracy. I need to see the movie again because I’m not 100% clear on what Riddler’s motivations were. The 3rd act action beat was a little clunky. Batman basically engages after the damage had more or less been done, and he was there to essentially beat up a few thugs. This is a major one. Bruce Wayne effectively isn’t in the movie. Even when Bruce is out of the costume he is mostly just doing Batman things. I think this will hurt subsequent sequels because they really need to make Bruce Wayne a character. Does Wayne Enterprises even exist? riddler was exposing/killing people involved in the Gotham Renewal project which after Bruce’s dad died became a way for politicians and criminals to funnel funds raised for the city into their pockets. Which as a result had made a struggling city even worse(riddler suffers as a result and there ya go)

if Batman isn’t around after taking care of the Marvel venom vintage comic book cover vintage gift shirt but in fact I love this thugs he wouldn’t have been able to save everyone in the arena water from being electrocuted by that cable he cut with his proto-batarang thingy. it’s kinda the point of the movie- the dichotomy of Bruce/Batman and how much Bruce runs away his responsibilities and who he is by being who he thinks the city needs him to be. While he was ignoring Wayne Enterprises and running around beating up thugs- people were actively taking advantage of the Renewal project his dad started. So by not being Bruce Wayne he actively made the city worse. I dig the movie a lot and I think going forward the balance between Bruce and Batman will be a plot point based on how this movie ends and who he feels he needs to be by the end of it. You could have easily slotted a few scenes from Se7en in there and I don’t think I’d have noticed. It’s David Fincher x Batman and I’m here for it.
