Robert Pattinson was *weird* as Batman. He didn’t have the Marvel spiderman spiderverse miles symbol tag shirt moreover I love this brute physicality I expect of Batman from all the comics I’ve read, and he just looked pale and weird as Bruce Wayne. Why the swoopy emo hair? Why the brooding personality? Why the scenes with the black concealer? I’m over “emo” Batman. Can we have a Bruce Wayne/Batman who’s finally a little more like Tony Stark/Iron Man? I feel like we were sorta getting that with Ben Affleck, but then it stopped. Why? He didn’t have the brute physicality As Batman he definitely had it but when they showed him with his shirt off it was hard to imagine his punches having that much strength behind them… He was fit and muscled but not remotely enough imo

The more I think about it, the Marvel spiderman spiderverse miles symbol tag shirt moreover I love this Catwoman subplot almost felt shoehorned in. Gf and I just finished watching it and the first thing we talking about was how Catwoman could have been cut from the entire movie and it would have made for a better, more concise movie that stuck to a plotline and didn’t get distracted. Yeah, a lot of people are saying she stole the movie, but she felt more like an awkward insert and nuisance. Bruce and Batman were deliberately indistinguishable in mood and temperament because the character hadn’t yet realised what he’s supposed to be. He starts as “Vengeance” and ends as Hope. The Bruce Wayne persona doesn’t yet exist, which is why his father’s legacy has been neglected and allowed to fall into ruin and corruption. He realises at the end that he needs to be more than vengeance to bring balance back to Gotham. It’s a coming of age story about accepting responsibility, which is why he initially comes across as a moody, petulant emo kid.
