Batman 89, BB and TDK are far superior movies than this one. TDKR is a bad film in general though. See the Marvel spiderman no way home web slinging cover shirt besides I will buy this movies when the hype dies down, and you’ll notice that this movie is riddled with stupid writing and bad screenplay. The only thing, arguably, this movie does better is the potrayal of “Batman”. But as a complete movie, it’s no where close to those movies. The guy who played the Riddler is a really, really good actor. In my opinion it was almost a waste of his talent and shitty that for 90% of the movie we only saw him on shaky cellphone videos, wearing a gimp mask. I felt the Riddler’s storyline was interesting, but it’s almost as if Studio pressure or writers did a sudden about-face and he was blowing up the city and causing floods. Wanton destruction is a Joker thing and you saw that during the last part of The Dark Knight when he had everyone corralled on Ferries. This just seemed like writers shoehorning in some high stakes situation to try and match that film’s intensity, however to me it just didn’t fit the first 2/3rds of the Riddler’s convictions or plot for this movie.

I’m on the Marvel spiderman no way home web slinging cover shirt besides I will buy this fence about Catwoman and am struggling to find a real reason Selina Kyle was even in this movie. I feel like she could’ve not been in it at all and things would’ve moved along just fine. Could Colin Farrell have played his role without so much “fat”prosthetics on? We’re supposed to assume this is “young” Batman (Again, eyeroll) so would it have been better if it was just Colin Farrell, before he’s become the old fat Penguin we knew? I feel like every time they remake Batman now, some director declares its gonna be “young inexperienced Batman” and it’s some sort of emo, dark and gritty take. I liked Ben Affleck’s Batman because it was one who was proper physically intimidating and it was an older more experienced Batman who’s eased into the role. If Tony Stark’s Iron Man has taught audiences anything it’s that we’re ok with Superheroes who own the role of being a Superhero, who have flaws but also do their jobs with a smirk on their face and some humorous cynicism. I wanna see THAT Batman movie. I wanna see peak Batman, with tons of cool futuristic gadgets. I’m tired of the sad brooding Batman we seem to be getting over and over again. This one was good because it reintroduced that Batman is a detective, but I still wanna see one with more intuition and above else, no more converted muscle cars, “beginner suits” and gadgets or half-developed villains.
