I mean you can use your powers of deduction to come to a general conclusion about most slang.. it’s really not that big of a deal, but this is most definitely just nonsense. He says it like it was a simple mistake, the way you’d apologise for calling somebody by the wrong given name. Strangely of all the videos I’ve seen of kids beating the shit out of teachers, this somehow is not one of them. I think he’s apologizing because he knows he’ll get in trouble. He might not be a racist, it might be an intrusive thought that escaped through his mouth. I can’t pretend I’ve never been worried about vocalizing intrusive thoughts before but thankfully it’s never happened to me. He might also be a racist, we don’t know. But even a racist knows he can’t use that word in front of black people without getting in trouble so he would’ve have apologized. I don’t know… I work in rough schools around Baltimore with tough kids and have never had any desire to drop that word even as I’m getting cornered and screamed at by students. For sure he’s a racist, I was just pointing out he would apologize because he knew he was in trouble not because of a threat of physical violence. But intrusive thoughts are no joke. Until you’ve had the intense urge to kiss your attorney (whom you are not attracted to in the slightest based on age, looks, and gender preference) while discussing the death of your uncle, you just don’t know how weirdly difficult it can be to overcome that feeling.
