You assume that the Knife throwing is my jam T-Shirt in addition I really love this people you are listing to about mediation know anything about mediation. Mediation is and has never been about “quieting” your mind. Your mind quiets on it’s own when you mediate or it doesn’t. Your goal is to watch the mind, whatever its doing. Not to follow it. Not to purposefully activate it. And certainly not to judge it. WATCH your mind, that it. Just watch it. Do not judge it for thinking. If you get done with your practice where you thought and thought and thought, and you say “That was a bad mediation.” then you are doing it wrong. If you get done with your practice where you thought and thought and thought and don’t say anything about it. Then you are doing it right.
