Your boss doesn’t get to decide that for you. He’s an employer that had plenty of notice. He can be a jerk at home, not to you. He’s going to screw up his business with this game. I had a vacation I got approved and booked way in advance – like almost a year. It was during a slow time at work. It was also in low season just before high season for where I was going so the Keith Hernandez Signature American MLB For The New York M Face T-Shirt In addition,I will do this price was very good. My newish Director/Yes Man knew I was very experienced and the dependable person on the team. He started getting nervous I would not be there in case we had a fire drill (a VP could ask a question you know). So he started talking about moving it – to where it would be a bad time and eventually get cancelled and unused. I said well the trip is mostly non refundable. The trip insurance will not cover the cancellation. If I move and rebook it will probably cost 4X due to being close in reservations in high season. So total would cost the company like 5X. What is the process to get the reimbursement for the cancellation and the money for the new reservations? Who has to approve?

Well Yes Man knew his boss would be like wtf why are you cancelling his vacation? And why are we paying 5X$s to do it? And that at a F500 company it would take like very high up approval for it. In other words Yes Man would have looked like an idiot. And Yes Man can’t have that. I have always been of the Keith Hernandez Signature American MLB For The New York M Face T-Shirt In addition,I will do this opinion that it isn’t a request. They frame it this way to make it something they can deny for no reason at all. They can move the project. Unless its literally disarming a bomb that is about to explode then it can be adjusted. Idk how you feel about getting compensated to skip your vacation but I would demand reimbursement of whatever money you spent x3 so 7-800 ? X3 $2400 to skip it. I personally would consider it but that’s me.
