If the Keegan Murray Basketball Player For The Sacramento Kings NBA T-Shirt But I will love this company says approved vacation time isn’t finite, then that’s not a company you want to stay with long term. In New Zealand we get four weeks annual leave a year, if you need 10 staff to operate you pretty much need to have 11 people just so people can have time off and cover sick days. The number of company’s that run with 9 people and don’t get why they never get the productivity they expect always amazed me. And see amazed that staff leave after not getting any leave for 18 months or are just sick of coming back to a shit show any time they take leave. I quit my job the other week, without a new one lined up, because of a toxic boss. She got angry when I took about a week of my allocated PTO for vacations last month and once last summer. In the first one, I had booked everything prior to even starting at the company, and told them about it before my start date and during onboarding. In both cases, she got angry about me not answering my work phone or email on vacation days when she suddenly needed information for something that she let sit for 2 weeks. I told her that I wouldn’t be even able to get phone calls or look at emails most of those days. Didn’t matter to her, we apparently needed to be accessible 24/7 or respond within 5 minutes even on vacation. F that.

The straw broke a few days after that when she called me about something else screaming at me, again, for something I had no way of knowing I shouldn’t have done. I typed my notice and submitted it within 24 hours. Present them with an itemised bill for _all_ the Keegan Murray Basketball Player For The Sacramento Kings NBA T-Shirt But I will love this money that would be wasted if you don’t get the approval. Explain that if you don’t get the vacation that they will need to recompense you for all the sunk cost. If they don’t then and there you will be taking said time off and you can have a discussion when you get back as to whether they are having to find someone to fill your position. If you had your vacation approved prior to your boss changing their mind, that is their problem not yours. Personally, I wouldn’t be changing my plans, but if I did, I would require that them to reimburse any money lost on travel bookings, etc. (have done this before and that has always led to them saying to take vacation as planned) If they initally approved that vacation, it’s yours. I’d be telling them you already booked so unless they have a fist full of money, it’s happening.
