I saw on reddit that a deliverly woman Brought a package to this persons house put it on the In September We Wear Purple Alzheimer’s Awareness Rainbow Plaid T-Shirt but in fact I love this porch took a picture that it was delivered then picked up the package and took it with her. This was filmed on the customers ring door bell camera. About half my photos of delivering direct to customers are like that. Given the ambiguity highlighted by this thread I’ll try and not do this in the future. However, it’s not a requirement to have a photograph of the parcel in the recipient’s hands, so if someone wanted to pull a fast one as the OP describes they could keep doing that. From the perspective of needing to be upstanding citizens, I’ve been in your boots. I hold a UK government clearance that needs a clean criminal (not police) record. Some neighbours did this to me. I made a statement to the police in advance and gave my account. My upstanding status was questioned with the police, as I need that to do my job.

I would say you should contact John Lewis and let them know about the In September We Wear Purple Alzheimer’s Awareness Rainbow Plaid T-Shirt but in fact I love this error, make it clear you were denying the parcel and that it was a mistake. Can you tell the delivery guy is holding the package? If so, surely that confirms what you have said, otherwise you’d be holding the package. You’d be amazed at what these couriers get away with in terms of photos. I have an arrogant prick of a Yodel delivery driver in my area, and when he delivers a parcel, rather than taking a pic of my hands holding the parcel, or if it’s a large parcel, it resting on my wheelchair footplate, he aims the camera at my face and goes “smile!!” every single time. It’s infuriating and I keep telling him that I do not consent to him photographing my face, but he keeps on doing it! I hate it so much, I now dread every time I get an email saying that my parcel has been dispatched with Yodel, it makes me so anxious. I get them making photo with my hand or even lower torso. But ‘smile’ would probably make me loose my shit lol.
