Might be worth looking in to MVHR? They do wall mounted ones you can run alone or in pairs I think as well as big multi room ones. I had it in the I’ll be back from the future Judgment yesterday shirt it is in the first place but bathroom, so I cleaned it off with bleach mixed with water ( something like 5% beach ), then I bought some RONSEAL ANTI-MOLD Paint, a couple of coats needed on affected areas, then normal emulsion…it worked for me Tried all the usual remedies and still couldn’t get the mould off. As a last-ditch move I bought some Cillit Bang Mould Remover. Holy moly. Works a dream. It’s super super powerful (the bleach smell will take a while to clear) and it even removed a big patch of 20-year-old mould (don’t ask). Absolutely fantastic stuff. I used HG mould killer for my pantry when I moved into a new house. It’s amazing stuff. The trick is to spray it on, and if it’s a vertical wall, stick it on with cling film. I have yet to find a BAD HG product – their mould spray is amazing, I use it on the shower sealant that sometimes gets a few black spots. Just spray it and put some kitchen roll on it to keep in in place. I have issues with it in one bedroom, in one corner at the top of the wall 2 outside walls). I do it when I feel it’s starting to be noticeable, it depends on the time of year but probably 6 to 8 weeks. As mentioned by others I use neat white vinegar in a spray bottle. Spray it on, leave about 1/2 an hour then scrub off with a rag. It does leave the room smelling like a chippy for a few days but I think that is preferable to using potential harmful chemicals Put the windows on vent (open a crack, newer windows allow you to lock them in place like this) as much as you can during the day.

I never have to clean mould but I’m always opening the I’ll be back from the future Judgment yesterday shirt it is in the first place but windows for ventilation and I keep the kitchen door closed so moisture in there doesn’t spread to the rest of the house. Bit weird, but you can DIY a little dehumidifier. Learned it when living in poorly built high rises in in China. Windows were taped up due to the draft. We’d put a little Tupperware box, filled with kitty litter, in front of the windows. It’s a moisture absorber, as you can imagine… If you really can’t air naturally, it’s an alternative, albeit strange. If you’re creative I’m sure it could be hidden in an ornament/vase to disguise it. Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery. Box in the loft sucks air from “wet” rooms (kitchen, bathrooms, toilets), goes through a heat exchanger which warms up fresh air from outside which is piped into “dry” rooms (lounge, bedrooms, etc.) It has dust filters in which remove pollen etc. and a drain for any condensate. No need for vents, open windows or any of that. Just does its thing. They can be combined with a heating coil for more money to warm (or for more money cool) incoming air too. Do your windows have a v lock on them? It locks them closed with a teeny tiny gap that lets air in. If your teenagers struggle to open windows, this might help You shouldn’t have to be removing mould from your house at all. Crack open the windows for an hour or so each day and don’t dry wet laundry in your house. Cillit Bang black mould remover is an absolute godsend, I recommend getting some. I live in a flat where my bedroom window doesn’t open, so it gets moist and therefore mould grows. It gets really bad sometimes and left marks on the walls. I was wondering what I could do but that stuff completely removed it, even the stubborn marks
