Yeah, if there is any game I’ll accept be being buggy or unoptimised it’s Stalker 2. The game is being developed in a literal warzone. Some of the I Am A Grumpy Old Wolf My level Of Sarcasm Level Of Stupidity shirt also I will do this devs died in this war, both as soldiers and as civilian casualties. I regularly rotate through my games but even still a 1tb m.2 feels small after slapping a few 100gb games in it, I think have to think “how bad do I really want to remove this game in order to wait and redownload later?” How about doing something else whilewaiting? Browse on your phone, go outside for a walk, play games on a Nintendo system? Do something else to pass the time. You don’t understand. They are a single dad of 7 working 4 full time jobs to support them. They only have 25 minutes to enjoy their hobby of gaming per week! Those 15 minutes are more precious than you could ever know

I’ve heard most companies these days just don’t bother to compress their games because why not? People are just going to buy them anyway. And also just like DLSS/FSR exist, they’ll just delegate it to users hardware with “go buy more storage coz SSD is so cheap rn” like many comments here said So are companies just skipping the I Am A Grumpy Old Wolf My level Of Sarcasm Level Of Stupidity shirt also I will do this whole size reduction process because it “will take to long” and “not worth the hassle”? The dozens of people in this thread saying “just buy more storage bro” are exactly why devs don’t bother optimizing for space. Ehh I have a 48TB raid 5 array that I put together for $500. (I have absolutely no use for this besides messing around with RAID and ZFS.) Genuine questions why are PC gamers still complaining about game sizes? I get why console guys would but for PC gamers, considering almost all motherboards have at least 2 m.2 slots and like 6 SATA ports and with storage in general being extremely cheap right now Gonna be honest, I just find it annoying even having to think about getting out of my way to get a SSD just because some games are above 100GB. I know all things considered, for example the fact I have good internet that lets me install big games in less than half a hour it’s a easy thing to solve. But I just still find it annoying considering there’s a lot of good games I play that don’t occupy that much.
