When the Gighting Illini in my veins Jesus in my heart shirt in other words I will buy this Ambo’s got here – The senior took one look at the wound, and immediately called for “surgical-triage – level one trauma” or something to that effect, apologized profusely to both of us and off to the hospital we went – by that time they’d given me a green whistle and some other injections so i was high as a kite, but when i sobered up, my partner told me what had happened……quite scary to know how close we came to me dying simply due to ‘resourcing’ ! 4 months in hospital 3 surgeries 1 reconstruction surgery 5 months of wound recovery and therapy 1 nasty a/f scar I was shot in the left foot but a friend of mine due to a hang fire. Essentially I tried to fire the gun then it wouldn’t go off. But the round was primed and it was just slowly burning round waiting to go off. I handed it to me buddy and He wasn’t paying attention to where it was pointed. And it went off got shot me with a 1911 45. Full metal jacket A gun that I now own lol. The best way I can describe what it felt is as if a Jedi force pushed my foot. It missed the bones and hit meat. Zero surgery. They wrapped up my foot and sent me home Shot it the head with an unknown small caliber from a distance. It was a glance and bounced off my skull right on my eyebrow. I felt the impact but it didn’t hurt, probably from shock. It ended up hurting about the same as a good scrape. Left a nice little scar.

Painful. Got grazed in the Gighting Illini in my veins Jesus in my heart shirt in other words I will buy this upper back. Plenty of blood. Could feel it for a couple of days after, though I’m not sure how much of that was psychosomatic. Through and through 9mm left leg. Really wasn’t that bad. The recovery wasn’t great. Had to take special care of it and be careful, but honestly not bad at all. Broken bones, getting stabbed, muscle/ligament tears all way worse. Got shot right below the buttocks off a ricochet bullet 10+ years back. Now that I look at it I could’ve died due to the main vein being so close. But all it really felt like was a cut, hurt remember that i had some pain for about a week to a month and just forgot about it. not as bad as some of the others here, but I took a grazing .38 special along the right wrist. I thought that I had burned my wrist on something, but I looked down to see blood flowing down my arm. More detailed post on my profile somewhere.
