I live in a 3 floor building with a flat on each floor. I’m in the Funny retro Have A Holly Dolly Christmas shirt and I will buy this middle flat. Noise from upstairs and downstairs, it can be incredibly frustrating. My upstairs neighbour’s morning Zoom calls come through so clear I’m pretty sure I could do his job at this point. Speak to your neighbours, ask them to be more considerate. When a new person moved into the flat below me she started playing music at 11pm, I just went and had a word and she hasn’t done it since. Easy That’s quite incredible of her. Tbh, if someone is slamming a door at 1am in a shared building when they know others are close then chances are they’re brain-dead inconsiderate cunts. Unfortunately London is full of them. Question is whether it’s possible to close the door without slamming it? In my old place you had to do that or it wouldn’t lock shut If it’s your shared door, I’d say go to b&q and buy some foam insulation tape or some gel furniture pads from b&m or somewhere and then go fit them so the door doesn’t bash against things. Sometimes people just don’t know they’re being twats and appreciate being told. Everyone’s lost in their own bubble and thoughts a lot, just a little reminder is often enough. I had it once where my younger immature self pretty aggressively blew up on someone for slamming their door. Turned out the door was broken/needed sanding and they were super sorry and got it fixed pretty quick.

Yes. People have no respect for anyone else. Take your fucking shoes off. Can’t imagine what the poor fella underneath must be putting up with. It’s little things as well, like the guy who keeps going out for a fag lighting it while still in the hallway, and so stinking the entire communal area out. Considering I used to smoke 20 a day this must be karma. Yes omg. We used to live in a block of 100+ flats and we were Flat 1 next to the front entrance. Eventually I got used to the slamming of the doors but always happened middle of the night when you are trying to sleep. Can hear the upstairs washing machine, people walking, music etc. My room is also under the stairs between floors and it’s worse when people ‘run’ up and down.
