He’s done it to our staff who happen to be minorities, too, in her presence, and she excuses it because “it’s her job to build a relationship with him.” She’s got a chip on her shoulder about every singe member of staff’s perceived racism and sexism and homophobia, but that kid wants to call the gay teacher an f-word? Meh, let it slide. She’s gotta give him grace because he has a bad home life. She’s gotta be the one willing to throw that starfish back in the sea. She’s got what it takes to make a difference in that kid’s life and it is her job, nay, her mission to turn him around… By endorsing every bad choice he makes.
