If you look at it based solely on statistics it’s a losing prospect. Most marriages end in divorce and most divorces are initiated by women. Most judges are going to give the Bigfoot Rock On Christmas Tree Light Driving Truck Women’s Shirt In addition,I will do this woman half your stuff and you’ll have to pay them for a good number of years. Are you willing to roll the dice on that? I been married 5 times don’t do man the problem is if you date a girl for 2 to 4 years next step is to get married. So either you break up or get married. Most women will not put up with long term being just a girl friend Most of these older men have experienced trauma. They have had to deal with divorce, custody battles, lawyers and their bills and much more. Unfortunately, marriage is not the stable thing that it seems to be. I’m sure that many women are also struggling after divorce too. I’m still experiencing some low intensity conflict twelve years after my break up. I’m an extremely unlucky person , but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t get married. Men tend to lose sexual interest in their partner after twelve months or so. I believe this may be an evolutionary instinct encouraging genetic diversity in the population. This may be true for women as well.
Bigfoot Rock On Christmas Tree Light Driving Truck Women’s Shirt: buy and enjoy this shirt
I realize there may be exceptions, but every man I know who is married yearns for the Bigfoot Rock On Christmas Tree Light Driving Truck Women’s Shirt In addition,I will do this freedom to have sex with someone new. Because there is no advantage for a man to get married in modern Western culture and lots of negotiations. The only reason I see is to give a girl a green card. Experience. Right now the way the law and societal norms are twisted. it is like running through a minefield naked dragging a rake through the dirt on either side of you to get married. We don’t want someone to have the opportunity to literally cut you in half after you build for a decade or two just cause they’re bored and want to fuck some dude who creeped into their dms. Getting married is pretty dumb for men these days. The law favours the women as though it was still the 1950s all the while they often earn the same or more as then men. Kids? The woman gets them 90% of the time. Own a house and have kids? You used to own a house. When it works, which is statistically rare these days you are streets ahead of everyone else. If you pick someone who isn’t right for you we’ll… Basically it does not benifit men getting married most of the time. It is exactly what they tell you. Don’t ruin your life by getting married. Women change after marriage into something you wouldn’t even look at back then and then you are stuck. So M(42) here, doooon’t ever get married! Have a health relationship but don’t get married.
Because marrying someone in this day and age is not only about love, but it’s also a commitment of your financial life. This will probably get downvoted to hell but the Bigfoot Rock On Christmas Tree Light Driving Truck Women’s Shirt In addition,I will do this reality is women tend to gain most from a divorce, kids, house, financial support etc… You can always be with someone without marrying them, marriage does doesn’t prove you love them, it simply tells the government who can challenge you for your assets. Because you lose yourself, your life, and then when you have kids, they get taken from you and you get depressed, and when you are divorced, which is mostly likely going to happen, you enter into a dating scene that’s full of used up, abused, divorcees, who don’t genuinely care about you.

The chances of meating a beautiful woman who is your “soul mate” that you can genuinely build a life with is so small you’d be better of putting your savings on black in roulette. There’s a lot of shitty people going into relationships, we’re declining as a society and with that the Bigfoot Rock On Christmas Tree Light Driving Truck Women’s Shirt In addition,I will do this potential partners. “Our grandfathers found wives 10x better than the average woman and for a 1/4th of the effort”, not to say that men are all amazing, there’s shitty men, shitty women, amazing men, amazing women and anything in between. On top of that, unfortunately, it seems like people are too prideful and treat small disagreements as an attack, and they never want to compromise, communicate, or even listen. Women have all the rights and none of the responsibilities nowadays (and will use that to their advantage ruthlessly) that’s why Almost all the older women in my life have told me the same thing, and I now tell younger women the same. Dont get trapped like we did. Mutual respect is a quality that is overlooked by men your age when picking a partner to marry. A lack of this will send your marriage to a very bad place down the road and you will feel stuck and miserable. For example, most men are happy to do things and even BE the things that their girlfriend wants . They never stop to think about what would happen if the roles were reversed.
They truck along through the Bigfoot Rock On Christmas Tree Light Driving Truck Women’s Shirt In addition,I will do this years just happy they are getting the physical affection they need and when that dries up after years of marriage, (if you want to debate this, visit r/deadbedroom before you do) they discover they have been going down the wrong road for a long time but it’s too late to turn back. well if you’re american at least we have whats called no fault divorce. so your wife can just up and divorce you, kicking you out of the house and away from your kids at he drop of a hat should she ever want to. I remember getting the same advice and being advised by other guys to get married. Other guys said get an education and others said get a trade. Some guys said buy a house, others said travel…. Spend as much time enjoying using your dick, as much and as often and as consensually as possible. Then ine day marry then you’ll be all good. All my friends who married before 30 have kids, divorces, and are not who they wanted to be. All my friends who married after 35 have lived, and travelled and have no regrets. Do what works for you
An older generation would be giving advice based on the Bigfoot Rock On Christmas Tree Light Driving Truck Women’s Shirt In addition,I will do this societal norms of the given time period they grew up in. I would argue there’s not as much pressure nowadays to pump out the 2-3 kids (if you live in Utah, 6-7 kids), the white picket fence, and even find the “love of your life” at such a young age. I know 30, 40, hell even 50 year olds that are now just grazing and perfectly happy, being more self aware that a marriage is a lifetime commitment (within Western cultural standards). Anything goes nowadays, and De Niro just set a new standard Weak & old? How would marriage help? – You are obscenely rich and got a makeshift-nurse wife, 2 decades younger than yourself, to push your wheelchair around?
My dad hit that stage. He is now widowed and has a mostly useless son but also nice neighbors. Sometimes I wonder if he ‘d be happier, if he ‘d been willing to learn enjoying the Bigfoot Rock On Christmas Tree Light Driving Truck Women’s Shirt In addition,I will do this Internet. If you want to, and you find the right partner, it’s absolutely worth it. Just remember, you’re equal parties in the same team. This was despite my ex’s best efforts and threats to make make false dv claims to the police etc…now have equal custody of our son; much to her chagrin. There are horror stories out there. The rate of suicide for divorced men is significantly higher than normal, because for some men the experience is akin to going through a meat grinder, then having to pay the meat grinder for the privilege.
Watch the Bigfoot Rock On Christmas Tree Light Driving Truck Women’s Shirt In addition,I will do this doco: ‘Divorce corp’ On youtube, if you watch that and still want to get married, Godspeed and safe travels. When you do get married(or become common law) now the government gets involved if things go sideways, which they do 50% of the time. Look at their history. Are they divorced or do they treat/talk about their wives poorly? It’s definitely one of those. Men who very bitter about divorce perceive everything as theirs, so any division of assets is only a loss for them. Especially if the woman was a stay at home mom, they act as if that didn’t benefit them at all…of course it did. Listen, I’m a divorced woman. My husband was an alcoholic, he didn’t work and he spent HUNDREDS a week on alcohol and weed. I busted my ass to save money for our future and pay our bills. I built up a savings of $30k all by myself. When I left guess who got $15k? Yup. I won’t lie and say I’m not still a little bitter. BUT that was my marriage gone sour. Not yours. My experience doesn’t negate the fact that marriage can be wonderful, if two healthy people put in the work and love and respect each other. Work on yourself, when you find the woman (or man) you want to marry, go to marriage counseling first, and work out any issue ever, and learn to work out future issues. You can absolutely be successful in marriage.
I was with my late wife for 18 years. Our marriage was amazing and I was significantly happier married to her than I ever was single. I’ve been with my girlfriend for about 5 years and I’ll be getting married again. Your at the Bigfoot Rock On Christmas Tree Light Driving Truck Women’s Shirt In addition,I will do this age where in the next 4-5 years a ton of your friends are going to start getting married. And it’s a cycle that sucks you in. She catches a bouquet, you start having those talks, friends show off rings, getting voluntold to be bridesmaids/groomsmen. Happened to me. Everyone was getting married, it was that age. The girl I was dating was pretty enough, sane enough and life was fun. So we got married. But as time went on and life got more complicated with bigger houses, fancier cars babies, going to a one person salary it fell apart. We fell out of love and got divorced. Even with a very amicable divorce I still lost about $40k the second I signed that paper. Had to live in my parents basement for 6 months while the house sold. We did prioritize our daughter and still have a very good relationship focused around her. (Eg she’s obsessed with her little half sister and we will all take both of them to an event) For a few years after that I was very anti-marriage. Didn’t help that I wasted time dating a girl who’s red flags were announced with trumpets and fanfare and that might not have even been FWB material, much less GF or wife material. But I’m slowly coming around. Last October I started dating someone new and already know we are getting married. I couldn’t start to describe why, but it’s like no relationship ive ever been in.
Don’t get married in HS/college. Spent some real world time together Don’t get married because everyone else around you is. Don’t get married due to family pressure If the Bigfoot Rock On Christmas Tree Light Driving Truck Women’s Shirt In addition,I will do this other person is making you give up things you enjoy (that arent vices like drugs, alcohol, etc) do not marry them If you aren’t comfortable telling them your deepest, darkest secrets, do not marry them I wouldn’t say don’t get married. However, I would say spend a considerable amount of time getting to know your future spouse and discuss every possible scenario life may throw at you. Kids can destroy a marriage in the early years. It’s stressful. From a guy married 34 years. It seems what men & women expect in a marriage are so different. Most men want a partner to have sex with, help share responsibilities in the home, share some expenses and someone to go out and do things with (although those things that both partners consider fun are sometimes worlds apart). What women want from a marriage is a partner who listens, is a great communicator, can talk about “tuff” stuff (most men don’t want to talk about this stuff), someone who spontaneously takes them on dates, and when things are going good wants to have sex. They want someone who takes care of their health, someone who protects them, and someone who will be a great father if they choose to have kids. I had to cut both “wants list” to keep it shorter for reading. But usually women’s is much longer. The point is: what each partner wants and expects in a marriage is so different. The marriages that last longer are those ones who adapt and change as the marriage progresses. You will never find a perfect marriage partner. Marriage is tuff. Don’t marry cuz you are worried who will take care of ya when you are old. Listen to others but take their options of m. with a grain of salt. You are only 20. Lots of time to think this out!
Getting married young is no promise that you have someone to care for you when you’re old and weak. You just might find that your wife of 7 years doesn’t lift a fucking finger for you that she doesn’t have to. You might also find the Bigfoot Rock On Christmas Tree Light Driving Truck Women’s Shirt In addition,I will do this perfect person forever for you. I’m 31m, I got told the same thing growing up lol. It was always by my stepdads idiot friends who married their high school GFs that they knocked up in 10th grade. A lot of the guys were cheating on their wives, too. I think it’s just something people in miserable marriages tell the youth in order to broadcast their misery. I’ve been married 2 years, been with my wife for 7 total. Been through everything together: Covid lockdown, my dad dying unexpectedly, addiction issues (mine). Shit that would have destroyed any shaky marriage. And every day I wake up and it still feels like that first week of dating when you can’t wait to see the person again. My point is, marriage is fucking sweet when you marry the right person. I married my best friend and I regret nothing. I’m seperated soon to be divorced. My only bug bear about marriage is how hard it I’d to get out of it. If I was still dating I would of been single 3 years earlier, but being married kind if quilted me into keep trying. I feel like I wasted 36 months of my life.
It means the Bigfoot Rock On Christmas Tree Light Driving Truck Women’s Shirt In addition,I will do this older men in your life are sad and lonely and were probably bad husbands or chose awful wives. The older men in my life are happily married and enjoy their wives and their children. They won’t be lonely when they get old, they are loved. Here in Quebec, Canada, almost nobody get married. This is a completely outdated system according to us. I came from a family of 7 and nobody in my family is married. They are all with the same person for more than 40 years, they all had happy and fine childrens, and they all seem very happy in life. I’m the only one who got married and it wasn’t a success. I’m now in a relationship without marriage and I have never been happier. If somebody love you, you don’t need to lock them up. They will stay with you.
But if you know you gonna be an asshole, better marrying her in order for her to be stuck with you forever. It certainly won’t be an happy marriage. And if you are really realy insecure about your masculinity, you can always change your religion and drape her in a tarp with only 2 little holes for her to see a little but not too much. Marriage is to entrap peoples. A person that is free to leave but stay is in love with you, not force to be with you. That’s a huge difference. I’m a passionate and affectionate partner and love is important for me in a relationship. (otherwise you might just be screwing and keep it at that) But.. I don’t think marriage is important or something to aim for. You can have a super serious relationship without getting married. There is no upside and only downsides to it. /if/ shit hits the Bigfoot Rock On Christmas Tree Light Driving Truck Women’s Shirt In addition,I will do this fan and you have to split the house & belongings. Meanwhile if one of you would pass unexpectingly you can still have a will without being married. Live your life to the full. I played around dated a lot went travelling develped a business then met my husband at a friends wedding at 29. Wasnt looking for love. It just clicked over 20 years of marriage 2 kids later. I love him more than anything. He is my rock and i always listen to his advice. The ideal marriage is based on friendship and respect.
This video has a lot of thought provoking insights about marriage:) I don’t want to be married cause it looks absolutely miserable. I don’t want to have to ask someone for stuff or consider someone else’s feelings when I want to do something. If I want to go somewhere I want to go. If I want to do something I want to do it. If I want something different then I want to change it. Essentially, freedom. I am selfish and self centered and I’d rather enjoy that. I love silence. Same reason I don’t want kids. I like my story being about me. I don’t want to include other people or become a support character for someone else. What will I do when I get old and weak? Depends on who’s around me at the Bigfoot Rock On Christmas Tree Light Driving Truck Women’s Shirt In addition,I will do this time but I’m thinking of something I can’t really post on Reddit. Go get it. Be happy! I 100% everyone being happy and taking a shot with someone they love. I’m not one of those people who hate it when someone (or even in fiction) settles down. I think that’s lovely. I also don’t post in childfree or similar subs. The thing is in a perfect world if two people get together, feel they love each other and want to get married they should. But the reality is people are not designed to live together for 40+ years, so it takes a particular combination of the two parties to make it work. What keeps some together can turn into the feeling that it has become a legal contract where you stay together because the finances of breaking up can literally bankrupt you. This is when you get the most comments like this, from unhappy marriages where the guys feel trapped. Sure there are plenty of people happily married, a lot moderately happy being married. I think it would be more wise for dudes to let young men know the downsides of marriages if it doesn’t go well then to give blanket advice like “never get married.” We should really normalize communication like this, guys need to fully understand they are entering a long term financial contract.
There’s too much at stake and very little chances that you will find the Bigfoot Rock On Christmas Tree Light Driving Truck Women’s Shirt In addition,I will do this right person and/or that the marriage would be a success. In your 20s, you have very little hindsight and experience on this topic, only hope. That’s why you would absolutely be the best person to tell this to. In case you’re thinking “oh these naysayers are just projecting their own negative narratives onto me,” I challenge you to look around and spot all the super happy couples in the 5% for whom marriage worked out for them. I think the problem, if i dare to call it a problem, with marriage and relationships is that people grow and circumstances change. You will never know what someone is like until you have a new experience with them. For instance:
People will say its great if you choose the Bigfoot Rock On Christmas Tree Light Driving Truck Women’s Shirt In addition,I will do this right person, and that’s great but how do you know they’re right for the next x amount if years till death do you part? In the early days when it’s lots of fun and sex of course that person seems like the right person. That’s until life changes. There are no guarantees and you have to work at it, remember who you both are as individuals, as a couple and then as a bigger family. The best way to approach it is to set aside the tomance and lust, and have serious conversations about serious issues that could happen to you. Communication is always banded about as the key to success, and that starts from the beginning. Do you want marriage, do you want kids, will you work when we have kids, what parenting style do you think is best, where will we live, near your parents or mine or neither etc. etc.
Too many times we shy away from the Bigfoot Rock On Christmas Tree Light Driving Truck Women’s Shirt In addition,I will do this serious stuff as we think love will sort it out, and in reality that love changes in a big way for most, from romantic love to companion and family love. They’re both great, but you both have to be on the same page for it to be a success. The idea of a life partner didn’t make sense to me, I thought if a life partner is such a good idea then why shouldn’t I just have a few of them? Keep things fresh and enjoy more experiences. The failure of the marriages in my environment – my parents, my friend’s parents, etc helped cement the decision. On kids, I rightly thought I would be a bad/absent father due to the amount of travel my work requires. I also liked mentoring/training younger people at that sort of filled the need parent. I just thought a lot of kids could use a positive role model.
Women issue upto 80% of divorces or breakups, you lose half your stuff, pay child support if you have kids etc. Possibly some.of these reasons. You’re 20. When you’re old there will be support robots available to the Bigfoot Rock On Christmas Tree Light Driving Truck Women’s Shirt In addition,I will do this masses already. So that is not an argument for marriage. Was it ever really? It’s usually because the woman wants to get married or you want to start a family at one point. Starting a family with children that have the same last name is still something many men want. My advice as a happily divorced woman. Don’t listen to advice from us old folk, make your own decisions, make your own mistakes, live your own life. Most of all have fun while doing it! Basically marriage makes you one entity in the eyes of the law. So you can easily transfer assets between you and there are tax advantages. But the romance angle is overblown and you don’t *need* to be married to love and trust someone or spend the rest of your life with them.
