A term I’ve learned recently is. weaponized incompetence. That sounds exactly like what he was doing. Well done. But this was beyond “not being able to cook” and straight up unable to be a full functioning adult who can take care of himself. Maybe you breaking up with him in this manner will be the Being a veteran is an honor but a grandpa is priceless shirt Additionally,I will love this kick in the ass he needs to grow up and do the bare minimum for survival. He rented a room in a house with a family. There’s nothing wrong with that, times are tough but he literally didn’t do a thing to help, I’m sure his landlords wife cleaned his room because she felt sorry for him. ? Life is too short. You already have kids, you don’t need another one. Perhaps the Being a veteran is an honor but a grandpa is priceless shirt Additionally,I will love this eggs Benedict was too much to hope for, but the fact that he can’t even feed himself is something you shouldn’t have to put up with. It’s not your responsibility to help someone learn how to be a damn adult. You didn’t dump him because he can’t cook. You dumped him because he’s basically another child. If he can’t cook he can learn by helping just like children. He should know how to do basic home cleaning tasks. You aren’t expecting him to take an appliance apart for cleaning it’s just laundry and dishes. Damn, if the OP’s BF is so keen on this fellow maybe she should adopt his no chore doing self and see how it wears on her. You did the right thing telling him to leave and I don’t think anybody should waste any more time on his nonsense, you or the rest of us. But I’m more interested in that very last sentence…your friend’s opinion. Why are their standards so low for what it means to be a partner in a relationship that they would waste their time or your time on somebody that doesn’t bring anything to the table?
