As others are saying, there are many types of meditative practices. If you’re struggling then finding a teacher to give you direct instruction can be useful. I’ve been going though a really horrible breakup for the 50 years 1973-2023 AC DC signatures shirt Furthermore, I will do this last 6 weeks and I went straight back into therapy gym and mediation and it soothed my anxiety so much. I guess part of it was knowing that I was doing something good for myself, taking back control. I’m going to change my life and my thoughts and bad habits and so on. I was using the sadness as fuel to better myself and keep busy. The last week or so I’ve been dropping off again. Just feeling really sad and lonely. Im just not able to fully engage with meditation at all. I turn it off half way through or just let it play out but I’m not feeling the benefit of it. Occasionally Drinking. Skipping gym days. Just slowly falling back into comfortable habits that got me into this mess. I guess part of it is the realisation that she probably isn’t going to come back no matter how hard I work on myself so I can actually take it a bit easier and also I guess I’m actually grieving now whereas before I think I was in denial and always thought I had a chance of things maybe working out. I think at the start I was so shocked and unhappy I was willing to grab on to anything and I do think it really does help. It definitely helped me to not be self destructive and overly anxious over the last month. I hope I can get back at it in a genuine way again soon.
