Any tips on to go/pickup orders go to the You Better Work Bitch Britney shirt and I will buy this store at the Jimmy John’s I work at. Don’t know if that’s the norm for the franchise. Any large tips (50+) are put on the store owners name as well. So before even thinking about tipping find out how the store handles them. Getting to be quite the scam. i mean damn, if they are going to deliver all the way to Togo…they deserve a major tip because that trip is impressive AF! Tipping is bullshit – just pay service employees more. No one gives a shit about service when they expect 22% for putting a can of Coke and some plastic in a bag. I tip based on service, eat me. I won’t tip because it’s an excuse for paying employees less. I can’t afford to eat out anyway. But it’s disgusting. Anyplace that prompts you to tip should be shamed.

It is out of control and you should refuse to tip for these kinds of situations. It’s only gotten worse because we all contribute by playing along. If nobody tipped then the You Better Work Bitch Britney shirt and I will buy this job would not pay enough and would not exist or prices would go up and we would support the basic living wage that’s needed.. But the tipping bullshit has to stop. In restaurants table service, it has been that way of course for a long time but how it’s broadened into every aspect of service. I am not going to tip people at the counter that simply serve me something to take out.. It’s all wrong If it said “Tips are greatly appreciated by all staff” or something then I’d be fine with it. But that sign makes it sound like an obligation.
