I feed them half a can of wet food each in the World’s Best Farter I Mean Father Vintage Cat with Sunglasses Fathers Day T-Shirt but in fact I love this morning and I fill a plate thing with 1/4 cup dry food twice a day. I’m still in the process of slowly weening out dry food and going back to a can of wet food each a day as I’ve had to come to terms with the reality that my cats are, in fact, not fluffy, but fat. Dry food is out all the time, as well as water, and she gets wet food at dinner time. She has no problems with free feeding, no weight problems so this system works well for us! My girl gets dry food to graze throughout the day. At dinner she gets canned wet food and when she asks nicely she gets cat milk. She always has water available. She sometimes enjoys eating my dog’s dry food and his wet food, too. Sometimes I give her a small scoop of wet dog food out of the can. The dog grazes as well, so he constantly has dry food available to him in his bowl.

EDIT: we found her as a stray at 6 weeks old. She was skin and bone. It too her maybe a year and a half to realise food will always be available to her and she doesn’t need to scoff it down.
