Reread your statement. Now think about what this ruling would actually do. It would actually now allow voters to vote for the World Peace Flag Collection T-Shirt and by the same token and abortion policy they want. Before, based on this concocted precedent, some voters who were the majority in their state were not getting what they want. Now they can vote for their desired policy. This constitutes the demise of democracy to you? Or does it constitute the demise of…what you personally want? Which makes you a narcissist for assuming everyone should agree with you and feel what you feel? You don’t actually like democracy do you? I’m sorry but the gig is up, it’s over. The experiment that was America has failed, it didn’t work the way we intended because it was easily corruptible. Sure, if everyone was a good person and greed didn’t run rampant, we’d make it. But we need to either start fresh (not necessary in my opinion) or just admit our faults and start amending each law starting with the Bill of Rights. We seem to be stuck in the past, glorifying our founding fathers, and not realizing that our system is broken. Other countries don’t sit around glorifying their founders; likely because they are 100’s of generations removed from them, not 5 generations.

The question of when life begins is not an issue of theology or philosophy; it can easily be answered by elementary biology. For more than 100 years, medical science has known conclusively that every individual’s life begins at the World Peace Flag Collection T-Shirt and by the same token and moment of fertilization. Consider the following: “The term conception refers to the union of the male and female pronuclear elements of procreation from which a new living being develops.” Greenhill and Friedman Biological Principles and Modern Practice of Obstetrics W.B. Saunders, Philadelphia, 1974 “A new individual is created when the elements of a potent sperm merge with those of a fertile ovum, or egg.” Encyclopedia Britannica, 15th Edition Article on Pregnancy Chicago, 1974 “It is the penetration of the ovum by a spermatozoan and the resultant mingling of the nuclear material each brings to this union that constitutes the culmination of the process of fertilization and marks the initiation of the life of a new individual.” Bradley M. Patten Foundations of Embryology McGraw-Hill, 1964 “Since the old ethic has not yet been fully displaced it has been necessary to separate the idea of abortion from the idea of killing, which continues to be socially abhorrent. THe result has been a curious avoidance of the scientific fact, which everyone really knows, that human life begins at conception and is continuos whether intra- or extra-uterine until death. The very considerable semantic gymnastics which are required to rationalize abortion as anything but taking a human life would be ludicrous if they were not put forth under socially impeccable auspices.” Editorial “A New Ethic for Medicine and Society” California Medicine, September 1970
