I know, in the World Down Syndrome Day 321 Awareness Support T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this USA, you used to have to pay to both send and receive calls and texts. In NZ, only the sender pays. I have only been doing this for 4 months. Instead of paying $60.00, I have paid $16.00 for data, plus $3.04 for calls and texts. I personally haven’t seen any pay per text plans in far longer than a decade. Maybe it existed with some of the budget carriers I think when everything moved to smartphones around 2009-2010 that was the end of it. App based texting came close to killing off carrier SMS texting. When I was little, my parents communicated with distant family mainly by mail, because long distance calls were so expensive. You only called if it was important or urgent. To save money, carnival Guys back in the day used to call their loved ones Collect Call with a certain passcode disguised as a name (the operator would tell the other side “So and So is calling, do you accept the charges?”) to let them know they were okay. Hello this is 1800-collect you have a collect call from *beep* WE’RE DONE AT THE RINK *beep* do you accept the charges? It was enough to make you know “night time dialing rates” I think after 7 was OK but after 9 is when you didn’t feel like you had been completely violated by AT&T

I could imagine that those hotels would be good for elicit sexual encounters or watching a Leonard-Hearns fight. I remember when I got a job working for a private investigator I had to make lots of long distance calls. Even a few overseas calls. It was exciting.
